seems to work well
My cat Angie suffers from IBS so I can't use any of those Lysine kitty treats, she got ill from all of them :( This gel was my last hope because I just can't pill this cat!
I give her 1/4 tsp of the gel in a syringe (get them at CVS) twice a day, squirt it into the side of her mouth, and it seems to keep her upper respiratory infections at bay. If I slack off, they come back.

Great product
I rescued a kitten and he spent a week with my Vet, who gave him a clean bill of health but he didn't check him for Herpes and of course he has it and gave it to my two healthy cats. I find that this product helps to keep them healthy when they have a flare up and I have no problem getting them to take the medicine since I just mix it with their food. By the way the kitten is a joy to have so full of life and so cute everyone loves him (gabriel)

Seems to help
From New YorkComments about ViralysThis medication wad recommended by my vet. My cat has complex problems and finding ways to make her quality of life as happy as possible, he thought this might help her respiratory issues. It does seem to help, I am happy to say. She is a happier cat due to her daily dose . -
Deceases herpes symptoms
From Lakewood, CO, USAComments about ViralysMy cat Magic has herpes. He used to sneeze very hard and a lot. He used to sneeze big strands of mucous all over his face. Plus his mood was affected. I understand some cats also get eye drainage. If your loved one has herpes you must try this. It doesn't make it go away all together but Magic has improved so much! I've been using the gel for well over a year and Magic just sneezes little sneezes and some days he doesn't sneeze at all. If your cat eats canned food you can try the powder on his cat food. But Magic will only eat dry food so I go with the gel. It used to be so heartbreaking to see him so miserable. So I would take him to the vet every three months and get him antibiotics and it sort of helped a little but not very much. When I went to a different vet she told me to try the L-lysine and she told me two places to try to purchase it. VetRxDirect is a lot cheaper. And they ship fast. But seriously, if your cat has herpes this will help so much. I felt so helpless not being able to help Magic and when it was in full swing he would be real down. If your an animal lover like me you would do anything to help your little family member so please try this! Magic still sort of snores at night sometimes but my vet told me he always would because the herpes did something to the membranes in his nose. Magic does so much better now that I have him on the gel. The dosage level is on the label. Really, Magic's quality of life is so much better. I know I'm writing a lot but I want people who are watching their cat suffer to give this a try. You will see some results. (I don't know if dogs get itI) If you have to use the gel just get syringes from your vet Change syringes when the gel starts to get stuck and oozes out Make sure to wash the syringe well so it doesn't get clogged I would try the powder first since cats of course don't like taking meds. Sorry I don't remember how long it took to see results but it seems like it was fairly fast. Like I said it doesn't make it go all away but I'm so grateful I finally found something to help. Good luck. You won't be sorry. -
My Cat loves the taste of this gel.
From UndisclosedComments about ViralysI adopted a sick stray cat who had severe breathing problems and herpes. She had to be on antibiotics every month until a friend told me about this product. Egypt loves this and licks it right off of my finger and since she has been on this I no longer need the Vet meds which were fairly expensive. She will always have the damage to her nasal passages but at least she is more active and healthy than she used to be. -
Works quickly
From Greenville, TX, USAComments about ViralysMy vet recommend this product for my kittens that had symptoms of a cold (sneezing and runny eyes). It worked quickly and was moderately easily to give. Would definitely use again -
Viralys is wonderful!
From Pittsburgh, PAComments about ViralysThis was "prescribed" for my cat by a Vet because as an kitten she had developed 2 serious eye infections after she had been abandoned. The infections were healed but because her eye health was compromised, the Vet told me to give this supplement to her daily. It helps her eyes so much. I highly recommend using Viralys powder. It's easy to add to canned food-it's my cat's treat because I feed her dry food. -

cold virus problems
From Richland, WA, USAComments about ViralysOur Vet provided our initial supply of L-lysine to help Sophie, a new kitten, build her immune system and fight off a cold virus. Additional medication from vetrxdirect was the same brand and much more cost effective. She still is fighting the cold with nasal congestion but we are making progress.-

We have been using the lysine gel for our two cats. We purchased from our vet. However, I noticed when I purchased this product online, the ingredient listed on the tube shows 250 mg Lysine per dose, however the tube from my vet indicates 500 mg per dose. Do you sell a gel product with 500 mg lysine?
-
According to the labeling on our Viralys gel tube, the dosing is 500 mg per ½ tsp.

Hi, This is listed as follows, on Amazon, with your company name as seller..."Viralys Oral Gel for Cats, 5 oz (L-Lysine) - 3 Pack" for $15.21 yet when I clicked on it and arrived here, it seems that price is for a SINGLE tube? I am confused...?

We apologize, but this is an error listed on another site outside of our control. Our prices are listed per tube. Thank you.

I am in need of the L-Lysine gel for my two cats who have the herpes virus - I would buy 2-3 tubes - do you ship to Canada by USPS not UPS and how much is the shipping - I am desperate as I am a low income pensioner?
-
Unfortunately, we are only licensed to ship within the United States and are not licensed to ship to Canada. Thank you, VetRxDirect

What is the difference between the paste and the gel? ?
-
Viralys (L-Lysine) is available as a powder and a gel. The primary difference between the two is in the administration. The powder is typically sprinkled over wet or dry food, while the gel is usually administered on its own. For cats six months and over, one rounded scoop (provided) of powder twice daily is recommended by the manufacturer, while 1/4 teaspoonful of gel twice daily is suggested for the gel. Your cat's veterinarian may adjust that dose higher or lower. Thank you, VetRxDirect
