Excellent Product
Once you understand the deworming procedure - give the dewormer over a three-day period then again in three weeks and again in three months, it's easy to switch to a home deworming. This is the exact same Panacur that comes from your vet, but this one is much cheaper. I combined two different dosage amounts for my dogs, and the amounts are easy to look up online. I'm so glad to have found this website.

Not for tapeworms
I bought this to treat tapeworms in my 2 pups. It did not stop the problem. Two days later the tapeworms were back!

Great produst
From Miami, FL, USAComments about Panacur C (fenbendazole)I bought this powder form of panacur after our vet prescribe it in the liquid form. The amount necessary in the liquid form per treatment is a lot to handle with active dogs. The powder form mixes well with the dogs food and dissolves rapidly. This is the second treatment with panacur and we are having positive results. -

Dependable Panacur C
From Concord, MA, USAComments about Panacur C (fenbendazole)I dose my dogs with Panacur every 6 months, more often when they are hunting in the field and coming into contact with many critters and their 'leavings'. It is safe, easy, and very effective. I have never had a negative reaction or any problem with this product, and the dogs remain worm free.

I want to treat six puppies and the mom. Puppies will be around five pounds. Mom is 20 pounds. How much do I need to buy??
-
Panacur C is a canine dewormer. The deworming treatment regimen requires three successive days of treatment. Also, the puppies will need to be 6 weeks old or older per the manufacturer. Dosing is based on weight, if your dog's weight is between dosing sizes it is safe to use the next higher strength. Based on a dosing table provided by the manufacturer the mom would need a 2-gram packet. The puppies will each need 1-gram packets. Please talk to your veterinarian for deworming schedules; which can vary based on the climate where you live and activity of your dogs. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Can the powder be mixed with water and then put into food? If yes then small quantity of water is sufficient and safe to insure for complete ingestion. Is that correct>?
-
Panacur C is an antiparasitic used to rid your dog of parasites. The powder should be mixed with a small amount of food which can be moistened with water to aid mixing. Make sure your dog eats all the medicated food. Please see your veterinarian for diagnosis and dose recommendation.

Hello, my dog takes Heartgard Plus (monthly) and Frontline Plus (every 3 months). Due to a suspicion of whipworm we were planning on giving her Panacur C, but I worry: Is there drug interaction among Panacur C and the other 2 medicines??
-
Panacur C (Fenbendazole) is approved for use in dogs 6 weeks of age and older to treat and control Roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), Hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala), whipworms (Trichuris vulpis) and tapeworms (Taenia pisiformis). The dose of Panacur C is based on your dog's weight. If your dog's weight is in-between the suggested dosing sizes, it is suggested and safe to use the next higher size. Heartgard Plus is a combination of 2 anti-parasitic drugs-Ivermectin and Pyrantel pamoate, used monthly in dogs and cats to prevent heartworm infection and for the treatment and control of roundworms and hookworms. Frontline Plus (Fipronil + S-Methoprene) is a monthly topical spot-on product used on dogs older than 8 weeks to kill adult fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, kill all stages of ticks, rapidly eliminate chewing lice infestations and aids in the control of sarcoptic mange mites. There are no known drug-drug interactions between these 3 products. Dogs can become infected with several different kinds of whipworms. Panacur® C only kills certain species of whipworms. Specific diagnoses require laboratory testing. Consult your veterinarian for help in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism before you start Panacur C for your dogs. My dog weights 67 lbs. What is the current amount to give him??
-
Panacur C is a medication for the treatment of whipworms, hookworms, tapeworms and roundworms in dogs. Diagnosis of worms and dosing of this medication should be done by a veterinarian. Dosing of this medication is weight based according to the following table. Dog Weight in pounds Packet Size/total dose for once daily administration 10 pounds - 1 gram 20 pounds - 2 gram 30 pounds - 1 gram + 2 gram 40 pounds - 4 gram 50 pounds - 1 gram + 4 gram 60 pounds - 2 gram + 4 gram 80 pounds - Two 4 gram Over 80 pounds - Use combinations to obtain recommended daily dose. If your dog's weight is in between dosage sizes you should pick the next higher strength. For example, your dog weighs 67 lbs so he should receive two of the four gram packets daily for three days. This medication must be given for three days to see the full effect. The packet can be mixed with a small amount of dry food and given to the dog. A little water can be added to dry food to aid in mixing. Ensure that the dog eats all of the medicated food to make sure he receives his full daily dose. Adverse effects of this medication are rare, but some dogs experience vomiting. If you continue to see worms in your dog's stool, or are concerned about the effect that this medication may be having on your dog, please consult your veterinarian. Thank you, VetRxDirect
