Good experience with VetRxDirect
From UndisclosedComments about Ursodiol (compounded)This product was prescribed. VetRxDirect is almost half the cost than if purchased from the vet. My Shihtzu is 15 yrs old and kinda cranky now. It comes in capsule form, so I give it to her wrapped in deli ham! She has been taking this medication for about 2 yrs and seems to be doing well. VetRxDirect ships quickly and has all my Veterinarian info on file. Always a good experience, no complaints!-

Is this capsule unflavored such that you could break it and add the inside powder to food and the cat would not notice a flavor? Do you have a flavored ursodiol product for cats (50 mg)??
-
Ursodiol capsules are unflavored and powder from the opened capsule can be sprinkled onto food. At this time, VetRxDirect does not offer flavored ursodiol products for cats. Please contact your veterinarian to determine if this product is appropriate for your cat.

We've been giving Ursodiol 150mg in a Tab form called "Gourmeds"--do you offer that or is there any difference switching to a capsule??
-
VetRxDirect does not offer a compounded chewable dosage form of ursodiol. The compounded ursodiol capsules available through VetRxDirect, contain the same active ingredient as the ursodiol chewable dosage form. Please contact your veterinarian to see if changing to a capsule dosage form would be recommended for your pet.

My vet says ursodiol is not available in 100 mg dose. Are the capsules small as I have a small dog? We've been using a compounded liquid with a .5 ml dose of 200 mg/ml?
-
The 100mg capsules are about 1/2 inch long and pretty skinny. Thank you, VetRxDirect
