What are Tricky Treats for Dogs and Cats by Pala-Tech?
- Tricky Treats are an easy way to disguise medications. These great tasting treats conceal pills to "trick" your cat or dog into taking them. They easily fit around tablets or capsules.
- These treats are great for pets with allergies, and are free of corn, wheat, and soy.
- Tricky Treats also contain MOS MAX, a supplement that helps enhance immune system development and normalize gut microflora.
Why are Tricky Treats given to cats and dogs?
- Tricky Treats work as an alternative to human foods like hotdogs, cheese, and peanut butter for hiding pills, tablets, and capsules.
- Tricky Treats are very palatable and designed to conceal bitter tasting medication.
What else should I know about Tricky Treats?
- Tricky Treats are wrapped in pairs to keep them fresh and prevent the treats from drying out.
- Store at room temperature, out of direct sunlight.
What problems could my dog or cat have with Tricky Treats?
- Do not touch Tricky Treats with the same hand that handles the medication. This helps conceal odors and the taste of the medication.
How do you use Tricky Treats?
- If Tricky Treats become dry and crumbly, gently massage and re-work between fingers until the natural oils are released.
- Then form the treat around the medication and feed as directed.

Not for cats
This says its for felines, but they must mean tigers because they are far too large for the average housecat. They are individually wrapped for freshness which is a good thing but I cut one in half before stuffing a pill in it and giving it to my cat. And she hated it. Spit the treat out. Had nothing to do with the pill. I use other pill pockets and she gobbles them up. I wound up giving them away to someone with a dog.

My cat takes his pills with this
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctMy mutt cat needs his daily meds for his hyperesthesia. He cannot miss a dose without driving everyone crazy. These pill pockets are good. I just use about a quarter of a piece each time, because his pills are small and too much of the pill pocket can get him to lose the pill. The odor is powerful, but they work well! -
Good for dog with allergy's
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 400ctTricky treat allergy pill pockets are the only way my dog (who is allergic to everything) can take him multitude of medications. -

It actually worked!
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctI can't believe it actually worked. My aging cat Tripper is on a special diet and needs to take medication now and it has been such a struggle to pill him. I found that I had to break off the tiniest piece of the treat possible to just cover the pill and he ate it! So far he's had 3 doses and I pray he keeps liking it. -
High reward treats that don't upset stomachs
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctGreat for dogs with numerous allergies. I use the treats broken up for training sessions. No tummy upsets. Highly palatable! -
Tricky Treats are a lifesaver!
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctNugget was put on a hydrolyzed protein diet about 2 years ago, and also takes daily meds for her tummy troubles. Pill time was always a bit of a rigamarole, we both dreaded it. Then I saw an email about Tricky Treats and immediately ordered them. I can't believe how amazing they are! They're so easy to use, and she absolutely loves them. In fact she loves them so much that they're a high value treat! Added bonus - the treats are easily broken into 3 - 4 pieces so you get more bang for your buck. -
pill pockets for those with allergies!!
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Roasted Chicken Flavor, 30ctbetter than pill pockets for my lab/pit with food allergies. saves me the trouble of putting pills in peanut butter or cheese. These have an added gut benefit (MOS max), and fairly low calorie. I can usually split the pill pocket in half and only use half for one pill, so the bag last me about a month of once a day pilling. -
Awesome!!
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 400ctOur hypoallergenic pup, Zuki, lovessss these! Disguises meds perfectly as long as you keep your pill hand separate and the treat hand separate -
Dog loves taking his meds in Tricky Treats
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctChester loves his Trucky Treats so much, he wakes me up so I can give him his Tricky Treat, aka medicine. We love these! They're so easy to use and don't stink. -
These really help my cat g
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctMy cat Frodo is allergic to chicken and beef, so I was so delighted to find a treat for administering her pills. All flavors of other pill pockets list chicken as the first ingredient. Thank you for making these with duck, a novel protein.

SINCE GARLIC IS TOXIC TO DOGS AND CATS HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY USING GARLIC POWDER IN THIS PRODUCT??
-
The pet poison helpline states that a small amount of garlic sometimes found in dog treats is unlikely to be harmful to dogs. The manufacturer states that there is no longer garlic powder present in Canine Tricky Treats (04/01/2019) and that the label will be updated in the future to reflect this change.
