What are Tricky Treats for Dogs and Cats by Pala-Tech?
- Tricky Treats are an easy way to disguise medications. These great tasting treats conceal pills to "trick" your cat or dog into taking them. They easily fit around tablets or capsules.
- These treats are great for pets with allergies, and are free of corn, wheat, and soy.
- Tricky Treats also contain MOS MAX, a supplement that helps enhance immune system development and normalize gut microflora.
Why are Tricky Treats given to cats and dogs?
- Tricky Treats work as an alternative to human foods like hotdogs, cheese, and peanut butter for hiding pills, tablets, and capsules.
- Tricky Treats are very palatable and designed to conceal bitter tasting medication.
What else should I know about Tricky Treats?

What problems could my dog or cat have with Tricky Treats?

So far, this is working in giving my cat a pill
I picked this because I need a hypoallergenic formula pill pocket for giving my cat a pill. I would give it five stars if it weren't for the following reasons.
It really should come in individually wrapped rather than wrapped in pairs. Most often you give your pet a pill once a day and I have found that my cat is not as likely to eat it if I leave it unwrapped for one day not being in it original individual wrapper.. I've tried using a small Ziploc bag to keep it ftesh, but that doesn't seem to help.
Even though I am very grateful in finding an option in a pill pocket to give my cat a pill, he's not really excited about eating it. I need to put it in front of him three or four times and take up his other food, but he will eventually eat it so far. This has only been day three.

These tricky treats were and are a lifesaver!!
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctThese treats are just about the best I have ever found especially to hide medication in. Thank you so much for whoever come up with these!! My Chihuahua has stomach issues so the specialist put him on duck protein and she is the one that recommended these and I am so thankful for that!! They are also a great treat. I have a pit and he absolutely loves them!' -
They work with my cat
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Roasted Chicken Flavor, 30ctI decided to update my review from 3 stars to 4. I am so happy that I have a way to give my cat Toby his capsules. It would be impossible for me to get a pill down him involuntarily. He's not crazy about them but he will eat them eventually. If you would sell pill pockets made from hydrolyzed protein specifically formulated and flavored for cats I would definitely give you five stars. -

Cat Loved them, not ideal as pill pockets
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctMy cat has digestive issues and can only eat hydrolyzed protein foods, which makes it hard to give him medicines. These treats dont seem to irritate his stomach the way others do. Note: the treats have a very strong smell. The cat likes them but they might not appeal to humans so much! Cons: I thought these were pill pockets but they are solid inside meaning I had to hollow out a space for pills. They're also quite large, they need to be cut into smaller pieces if you are giving them to a cat and not a dog. -

My cat takes his pills with this
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctMy mutt cat needs his daily meds for his hyperesthesia. He cannot miss a dose without driving everyone crazy. These pill pockets are good. I just use about a quarter of a piece each time, because his pills are small and too much of the pill pocket can get him to lose the pill. The odor is powerful, but they work well! -
Good for dog with allergy's
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 400ctTricky treat allergy pill pockets are the only way my dog (who is allergic to everything) can take him multitude of medications. -
Not for cats
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Roasted Chicken Flavor, 30ctThis says its for felines, but they must mean tigers because they are far too large for the average housecat. They are individually wrapped for freshness which is a good thing but I cut one in half before stuffing a pill in it and giving it to my cat. And she hated it. Spit the treat out. Had nothing to do with the pill. I use other pill pockets and she gobbles them up. I wound up giving them away to someone with a dog. -
It actually worked!
From UndisclosedComments about Tricky Treats Allergy, Grilled Duck Flavor, 30ctI can't believe it actually worked. My aging cat Tripper is on a special diet and needs to take medication now and it has been such a struggle to pill him. I found that I had to break off the tiniest piece of the treat possible to just cover the pill and he ate it! So far he's had 3 doses and I pray he keeps liking it.
