What are Temaril-P Tablets for Dogs and Cats?
- Temaril-P is a prescription medication that reduces itching caused by allergies.
- Prescription Temaril-P also relieves coughing in dogs due to throat irritation, “kennel cough”, infection, or allergic bronchitis.
- Temaril-P contains two ingredients: an antihistamine to reduce coughing and itching and a corticosteroid to reduce allergic reactions and inflammation.
- When combined into prescription Temaril-P, they provide fast-acting, effective relief for dogs suffering from a coughs and itching due to a variety of causes.

- Temaril-P may be presceibed for itching caused by allergies.
- Temaril-P is also used as a cough suppressant.
What else should I know about Temaril-P?
- Treats coughs including “kennel cough”.
- Relieves itching due to eczema, otitis, dermatitis, allergies, and pruritus.
What problems could my dog or cat have with Temaril-P?
- Common side effects include sleepiness, muscle tremors, increased thirst, increased appetite, and increased need to urinate. Contact your veterinarian if these are persistent or worsening.
- Long term use of Temaril-P may cause side effects associated with long-term steroid use such as potbelly, increased susceptibility to infection, elevated blood pressure, poor wound healing, and changes in hair coat.

While our last visit to vet I asked for alternative medicine , and was thinking about antibiotics to clear up his skin and then he said why don't u try Temaril P so I said ok. It woks like magic . My dogs itchiness is gone , his appetite is much better . And his skin cleared up and hair grew back. I am very happy for that and will continue using it as needed. -

This drug has stopped my dog's itching but she is always hungry now. I don't think it's it is good for her to gain much weight. She weighs 8.4lbs and gained .4oz in 2 weeks.?

Can long term usage of this medication with a dog result in a marked increase (4-times normal) in the enzymes ALT and ALP, when the liver enzyme GGT is assessed is at the high-end of the normal range??
