What are SOL-M and SOL-Vet U-100 Insulin Syringes for Dogs and Cats?

- Insulin syringes are necessary for administering this important drug.
- U-100 insulin is divided into 100 dosing units per milliliter.
- U-100 insulin syringes are designed to inject U-100 insulin types, such as Basaglar, Humalog, Humulin, Lantus, Levemir, NovoLog, and Novolin.

Q & A
-
what's the difference between the 0.3 ml (3/10cc, 29G, 1/2 inch, with 1/2 Unit Markings, 100ct) and the 0.5 ml version??
-
The 0.3 mL syringes hold a smaller amount of insulin than the 0.5 mL syringes. Because the syringe is the same length, this makes the unit lines farther apart on the 0.3 mL syringes. This means that it is easier to dose only one or two units with the 0.3 mL syringes. If your dog or cat needs more than ten units, it might be easier to dose with the 0.5 mL syringes, which can hold more. Please also check with your veterinarian for what he or she recommends as the best option for you and your dog or cat.
