Really helps
From Massapequa, NY, USAComments about RenAvastMy cat started problems with mild Kidney failure 2 and 1/2 years ago we tried giving him sub-Q fluids 3 times a week with very little result. We moved him up to every day and this brought down his creatinine a little and stopped the climb but when we started adding RenAvast his creatinine is now in normal range this is the first product that was able to do this the urea nitrogen is still a little high but has dropped a little. I know this is not a cure but it is helping his kidneys function better. Thank You renavast -
Jury Still Out
From FloridaComments about RenAvastI have not made my mind up on this product yet. It states for 10 pounds or less cat to give one capsule twice a day. My cat is 7 pounds. I did that for over a month, did not notice a great deal of difference overall, until it appeared it was making him a bit sick to his stomach. So I tried once a day and that seems to work better. That was my choice, however, and I would not tell others to go by anything other than what directions say. I would hope this product does what it claims, but at this point, I am in wait and see mode. My vet said the same, not enough info and time to tell about it yet. -
Greatful for the results!!
From Joppa, MD, USAComments about RenAvastMy oldest cat was diagnosed with kidney disease in October of 2012. Our vet said he may live about a year. He said he heard of RenAvast, but had no experience with its use and suggested I read about it online. I read that there was no guarantee in results, but also that there was nothing in it that would do harm. Happy to say, Jake is still with us. Although he has lost considerable weight, his appetite is hearty (plenty of moist food and water) and there is no change in his personality. I credit this to RenAvast and a terrific, well informed vet! -
Exceptional results!
From Margate, NJComments about RenAvastMy cat, Maya, is 16 1/2 yrs. and has kidney disease. Before giving her RenAvast, she was a bit finicky about eating. I started giving Maya RenAvast and in about 3 days her appetite was much better and she was spunky. -
Renavast
From Los AngelesComments about RenAvastI've been giving my CKD cat Renavast for a little over a year. His "numbers" have stayed consistent the entire time so I guess it's working. :) -
Multi-Cat Household
From Columbia, MD, USAComments about RenAvastI originally purchased RenAvast for one cat specifically. However, in a multi-cat house it is too difficult to separate the food with RenAvast. As all my cats are at least 12-1/2 in people years, I decided to simply add it to everyone's food bowls. I do see a difference and would recommend this product. -
Helps with weight gain and reduces vomiting
From Florida, USAComments about RenAvastMy 16 year old cats with kidney disease have been on this for about 3 months now, and it has helped one of them gain weight and the other decrease the frequency of vomiting. -

Fast delivery, great price
From Bend, Ore, USAComments about RenAvastOur cats are on the RenAvast and the vet actually suggested we look for an on-line provider. They are charging $48 for this where here I end up paying less than $30 for the exact same thing! Look for the first time buyer discount in the shipping FAQ.And the product showed up in just a few days! -

Renavast is meant to serve as a supplement for cats or dogs with kidney disease by providing nutrients in the form of the following amino acids: L-aspartic acid, L-carnosine, L-glutamic acid, L-glutamine, glycine, L-arginine, and L-histidine. This supplement serves to replenish nutrients that the animal may be losing as a result of their disease. Can I give RenAvast for Dogs to a cat (reducing the dosage accordingly)? I got a mistake shipment.?
-
RenAvast for medium and large dogs (greater than 20 pounds) has 1000mg capsules while RenAvast for cats has 300mg capsules. It would be very difficult to ensure that the dose was appropriate and consistent. The best way to ensure your cat receives a safe and accurate dose would be to order the RenAvast for cats. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your order. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is RenAvast compatible with Aventi KP and Aventi KS??
-
Aventi KS is a probiotic/nutritional supplement formulated for cats. This product contains amino acids like AminAvast (previously named RenAvast) but also contains B and C vitamins as well as probiotics, carbohydrates, fiber, and fat. Since both Aventi KS and AminAvast are nutritional supplements they are lacking in data showing their effectiveness and possible adverse effects. I recommend discussing these options with your veterinarian before changing your pet's supplement regimen. Thank you, VetRxDirect

My cat eats dry food from a self-feeder. Giving Renavast in wet food is not the best option. I understand I can dissolve it in water and use a syringe. My question is whether I can simply put the whole capsule down my cat's throat. He is used to this procedure with his potassium pill. I do not want to do this if the capsule will not dissolve and the contents don't get released or if the capsule itself is somehow harmful.?
-
Yes, you can either give the whole pill at once or give it with food, either option is fine. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is RenAvast safe to use even if a cat may (or may not) have kidney problems? I have a 12 yr old Abbsynian who has lost a lot of weight, has low potassium levels and bouts with pancretitis. I give him potassium chloride daily (Renal K) and was hoping this product would either be helpful or preventative.?
-
The manufacturer reports that the supplement RenAvast can be used in cats for both preventative measures and with kidney disease. It contains naturally occurring amino acids and peptides and is designed to support natural kidney functions. Contact your veterinarian to see if Renavast is something your cat can benefit from.
