RenAvast is a lifesaver
From Tampa, FL, USAComments about RenAvastRenAvast is one of the best things that ever happened to my 17 1/2 year old male cat who is in early/middle stages of kidney failure. He's been on it for about a year now, and he gobbles it right up when it's on top of wet food, just like it says in the directions. He's on two caplets daily though could use three as his condition progresses. He's chugging along, and this is one of the reasons. My vet brought this up at the first signs of his condition, and I'm so thankful that she did. I highly and strongly recommend it. It can get a little pricey, though it turns out to be a tremendous value. I always look for sales on it and VetRXDirect usually has the best price. They ship quickly, the products are fresh and sealed, they have excellent customer service - really couldn't ask for more.-

Renavast Really Seems to Help
From Boston, MAComments about RenAvastWe were the first family at our vet's office to try RenAvast. Our cat has been doing very well on the supplement, along with other treatments (including daily subcue) for many months now. He is happy and energetic, and his blood work is stable, with some levels improved. We're so happy to have him still with us and living a good quality of life. Our vet said that quite a few cats in their practice have been doing well on RenAvast, so we're sticking with it! -
WOW!
From Janesville, WI, USAComments about RenAvastI got this about a month ago or less, after the medication our cat was on didn't seem to be making a difference. Our vet told me not to 'bother' with it because she was 'only' in early stages of Renal failure....WHAT!? She went from 12 pounds to 6.5...so, I got it anyway.she's now eating again, she hasn't put on much weight, but she's not losing any either. I only give her 1 capsule a day in a syringe with water, I may end up doing 2 if she'll possibly gain weight that way, but really? I was angry that i mentioned it to the vet & in the same sentence says" you know, I don't know why we don't carry it" AND "you don't need to bother with it". We are getting her blood levels checked next month, and I'm guessing things will be better, somehow. I know she went from lethargic & throwing up & not eating, to her old self that eats!I will attribute any improvements to this product, not necessarily her other medication. -
Has done a good job
From Worcester, MAComments about RenAvastDulcey was diagnosed with kidney disease two years ago at age 17. Last year it had gotten progressively worse so my vet recommended RenAvast. After taking it for exactly 12 months, her recent Wellness Check showed a weight gain of almost 1 pound and her blood tests showed no further deterioration in kidney function. Her condition appears to have stabilized and now at 19 years old, she is still with us. -
Kidney values are now in the normal range
From Los Angeles, CA, USAComments about RenAvastI've been giving Bessie this product for at least six months. I hadn't been able to have her kidney values re-checked for quite some time and was afraid that her disease had progressed. What a surprise when I learned that she had gained weight, no longer needed a potassium supplement and her kidney values were in the normal range! I don't know if Renavast had anything to do with the potassium, but I will deginately be continuing her twice a day dosage.-

Renavast is meant to serve as a supplement for cats or dogs with kidney disease by providing nutrients in the form of the following amino acids: L-aspartic acid, L-carnosine, L-glutamic acid, L-glutamine, glycine, L-arginine, and L-histidine. This supplement serves to replenish nutrients that the animal may be losing as a result of their disease. Can I give RenAvast for Dogs to a cat (reducing the dosage accordingly)? I got a mistake shipment.?
-
RenAvast for medium and large dogs (greater than 20 pounds) has 1000mg capsules while RenAvast for cats has 300mg capsules. It would be very difficult to ensure that the dose was appropriate and consistent. The best way to ensure your cat receives a safe and accurate dose would be to order the RenAvast for cats. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your order. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is RenAvast compatible with Aventi KP and Aventi KS??
-
Aventi KS is a probiotic/nutritional supplement formulated for cats. This product contains amino acids like AminAvast (previously named RenAvast) but also contains B and C vitamins as well as probiotics, carbohydrates, fiber, and fat. Since both Aventi KS and AminAvast are nutritional supplements they are lacking in data showing their effectiveness and possible adverse effects. I recommend discussing these options with your veterinarian before changing your pet's supplement regimen. Thank you, VetRxDirect

My cat eats dry food from a self-feeder. Giving Renavast in wet food is not the best option. I understand I can dissolve it in water and use a syringe. My question is whether I can simply put the whole capsule down my cat's throat. He is used to this procedure with his potassium pill. I do not want to do this if the capsule will not dissolve and the contents don't get released or if the capsule itself is somehow harmful.?
-
Yes, you can either give the whole pill at once or give it with food, either option is fine. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is RenAvast safe to use even if a cat may (or may not) have kidney problems? I have a 12 yr old Abbsynian who has lost a lot of weight, has low potassium levels and bouts with pancretitis. I give him potassium chloride daily (Renal K) and was hoping this product would either be helpful or preventative.?
-
The manufacturer reports that the supplement RenAvast can be used in cats for both preventative measures and with kidney disease. It contains naturally occurring amino acids and peptides and is designed to support natural kidney functions. Contact your veterinarian to see if Renavast is something your cat can benefit from.
