What is Normosol R Solution for Cats and Dogs?

  • Prescription Normosol R is a sterile, injectable solution administered subcutaneously (under the skin) in dogs and cats to replace body fluid and electrolytes.
  • This sterile fluid contains certain elements that will help rehydrate your cat or dogs and restore her electrolyte balance.

  • Normosol R comes in two different acidities: pH 6.6 or pH 7.4. The pH of blood is approximately 7.4. Consult your veterinarian about which pH is best for your cat or dog.
