Great value!
From Brownsville ORComments about Lactated Ringers SolutionWe administer lactated ringers to our elderly cat who has CKD two or three times a week. We paid twice as much for several years, so we are pleased to find the same quality for half the price. The fluids keep our cat hydrated and although he gets fidgety during the process, we can tell he feels better afterward. -

Q & A
-
I have tried to find instructions on how to attach the hose for the "Lactated Ringers Solution bag. Our vet had given us 4 bags. When we opened up the second bag to use, it was the Hospira model, we are not familiar with it, don't know if the tubing we had for the other brand will work with Hospira's. Looking for a video or pictures with instructions and cannot seem to find any on the internet or Hospira's site, do you have any instruction? .?
-
Each set of tubing contains a spike on one end to insert into the port on the bag. If your Hospira bag only has 1 port at the bottom, insert the spike there. If it has 2 ports at the bottom, insert the spike into the larger of the two ports. We recommend you contact the veterinarian who supplied you with the bags if you are having issues attaching the tubing. Thank you, VetRxDirect

I noticed your write-up only mentions injecting cats. My vet has given me the supplies to sub-subcutaneously inject my Pomeranian twice daily at home due to a kidney problem. Can we assume the same comments apply to dogs??
-
Lactated ringers solution is a product that can be used in dogs in addition to cats. This solution contains electrolytes and helps rehydrate certain pets with renal insufficiency/failure. Talk with your veterinarian about the best treatment option for your Pomeranian's kidney problem. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Can anyone purchase this fluid directly from you or only vets? My 15 year old kitty gets fluid therapy twice a week. She uses 1,000 weekly and the cost of just her fluid bag is over $33.00 per week.?
-
Yes, we do sell to pet owners. This does require a prescription so we would have to get it approved by the veterinarian. These fluids are also on a nation wide shortage so we can only fill 4 bags per pet every 4 weeks Thank you, VetRxDirect
