Fantastic product, no more fleas!
I bought the K9 Advantix II after moving in to a new home that had fleas in the yard and a big mosquito problem. With my miniature dachschund never having fleas before and worry of heartworm from the mosquitoes I had to do something quickly. I checked reviews for the latest products to prevent and remove these nuisances and pricing and found K9 Advantix II covered all of my bases. My fur baby is happy and so am I.

Made my dog twith
I was wondering why my dog's back was twitching and realized that I switched back to k9 Advantix from Front Line. Because before using Front Line, she was twitching too and I didn't know why. I googled it and found out some dogs have "horrible neuro symptoms". Since I used one pack, I couldn't get the refund from the website, so I called the manufacturer and they kindly refunded for me. I don't think ALL dogs have that type of reaction, but just pay attention to your dog and be careful!!

The appropriate product for your dog is the K9 Advantix II for dogs 55lbs+ applied once monthly. The manufacturer states to not use more than 1 tube at a time for dogs over 55lbs even in dogs weighing 125 pounds.. In cases of severe infestation, your veterinarian may recommend subsequent applications that may be administered after 7 days. Once under control, resume once monthly applications. K9 Advantix® II is used as topical prevention and treatment of ticks, fleas, mosquitoes, biting flies and lice for monthly use on dogs and puppies 7 weeks of age and older. The active ingredients include Imidacloprid, Permethrin and Pyriproxyfen. K9 Advantix® II is waterproof and remains effective following a shampoo treatment, swimming or after exposure to rain or sunlight. But frequent shampooing with any shampoo may reduce the effectiveness of K9 Advantix II by stripping away the active ingredients from the skin. If you need to shampoo your dog frequently, you may want to consult your veterinarian for alternative flea and tick products, such as oral monthly flea and tick preventative treatment option.

Do I need a prescription from my dogs vet in order to order K9advantix11 and Heatgard??

Mrs. Turcotte, K9 Advantix II does not require a prescription to purchase. It is an over the counter flea and tick preventative. All heartworm preventives, including Heartgard and Heartgard Plus, require a prescription by law. Once an order is placed, we can fax to the veterinary clinic for approval on the prescription, which they can fax back, or the veterinarian may choose to issue a written prescription that can then be mailed in to us.
