HUGE SAVINGS!!!!!!
I was told that my new puppy had a collapsing trachea and will need cough medication for the rest of her life. I was devastated and doubly devastated when I found out how much they cost at my vet. I paid over $1.00/tablet. She was prescribed 1/4 tablet twice daily. The bigger she gets the more she will need of course. This puppy was a Christmas gift for my 7 year old and she LOVES her new baby but being a single mom I did my research and thought I found a healthy puppy. Surgery could also be a possibility one day ($6000). I thought we would probably have to find a new home that could better take care of my sick puppy until I found the medication (which seems to be working great by the way with no surgery in sight yet) on VetRX Direct website. It has been a lifesaver! My vet charges 10 times the amount that VetRx does for the exact same pills! THANK YOU VetRX Direct for making this situation a little easier and possibly making it possible to keep our new baby. You have been a blessing! I will always check prices on here before I ever buy from anywhere else again!

Good product, good price, the pills are a bit hard to brake in half and crumble in a pill cutter. But help my old dog with chronic cough so well worth the trouble. Product came fast ordering was easy.

Same Medication Prescribed by Vet!
From UndisclosedComments about Cough Tablets 250ctMy dog Storm is 12 years old and has developed a persistent cough that my Vet can't explain or make go away. After many office visits and cough pill prescriptions, I started looking for something comparable online. I found VetRxDirect cough tablets and decided to give them a try...lo and behold, these are the EXACT SAME cough pills that my Vet was prescribing (but I got a lot more pills for less money). Storm will probably have this cough for the rest of his life, but these pills really reduce the amount and severity of his coughing. What a blessing! Thank you VetRxDirect for improving the quality of Storm's life. 🧡-

Helps with chronic cough.
From UndisclosedComments about Cough TabletsDanny is an older Pomeranian we adopted from our local shelter. He was a stray they took in an no one claimed. He has a chronic cough not attributed to heart disease. I tried these on a whim to see if they help and they really do. He still has the cough but not as much. I give him 1/2 a tab as needed and he seems much more comfortable.-

Is this safe to give my dog with over the counter non-drowsy allergy medicine? He is a 60 pound Dalmatian.?
-
There is limited information on the use of non-drowsy allergy medicine, such as Zyrtec (cetirizine), Claritin (loratadine), and Allegra (fexofenadine) in pets. There would be no drug interaction between cough tablets and a non-drowsy allergy medication such as loratadine. To treat cough, it is important to figure out the underlying causes, which may include allergic reactions, respiratory infections, foreign-body aspiration, heart failure, etc. Please consult your veterinarian for the most appropriate treatment options. Have a 94lb. Lab 12yrs old, mucus build up Vet says allergies. Humidifier not helping. What dosage would be good??
-
The manufacturer's directions are for small dogs and cats to give ½ tablet and repeat every 4 hours as needed. For large dogs give 1 tablet every four hours as needed. Per manufacturer, there are no weight dosing parameters established with this product due to the drug's safety and efficacy being determined for humans. Do not use this medication for puppies or kittens under 3 months of age or dogs or cats less than 5 pounds of body weight. Typically, it's appropriate to start with a lower dose and increase if necessary. Please consult with your veterinarian for assistance in determining an optimal dose for your pet. Is this product ok for fallen trachea cough? And what is the dosage por a 10 pound dog? Thank you?
-
This product contains two drugs. Dextromethorphan which is a cough suppressant, and guaifenesin which is an expectorant. It is often recommended for use in dogs with fallen trachea, however you should first discuss this with your veterinarian before attempting to give your dog cough tablets. Thank you, VetRxDirect

can this be used for dog allergies or is this for cough only and what is your return policy if it does not work for cough.?
-
Cough tablets do not contain an antihistamine medication. Cough tablets contain two active ingredients, guaifenesin and dextromethorphan. Guaifenesin is used to help with chest congestion (expectorant) and dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. This product is used to treat a cough, which can sometimes be associated with allergies. Talk with your veterinarian to discuss the best treatment options for your dog's allergies. For our return policy, you can return OTC products within 30 days of receipt of product. There is a 10% restocking fee on all returns and that comes out of the refund. Thank you, VetRxDirect

MY friends dog is on Vetmedin, Enalapril, and Tussigon can I give the cough tablet instead of the tussigon which is a narcotic. I notice on your review another dog was also on vetmedin and it didn't seem to be an issue.?
-
Vetmedin and enalapril have both been studied for interactions with the ingredients of Tussigon (hydrocodone/homatropine) and no interactions have been documented thus far. While no interactions have been observed between the cough tablets (guaifenesin/dextromethorphan) and Vetmedin or enalapril, drug interactions with guaifenesin have not been well studied or documented. Have your friend talk with their veterinarian about switching therapy for his/her dog. Thank you, VetRxDirect
