How should Clinicare be used: It is essential that you get a recommended volume to administer to your pet from your pet's veterinarian because they will best know your pet’s dietary needs. It is also important to shake the can of Clinicare vigorously for 15 seconds prior to opening and to reusing. The manufacturer’s guidelines for administering are listed below. Hard-to-find product. Thanks, VetRx!
From UndisclosedComments about CliniCareMy cat left the hospital with a feeding tube and 1 can of Clinicare. Did not anticipate how difficult it would be to get this product. VetRx was a lifesaver. Mixed with prescription a/d, my little guy has been steadily gaining weight. -

good for ckd cats >**<
From undisclosedComments about CliniCaremy gypsy cat has chronic kidney disease, and i have been giving her CliniCare daily since i found out. I've been giving her approximately one tablespoon three times per day, but recently upped it to two tablespoons. she is currently on prednisolone which has stimulated her appetite a bit and i'm very happy that she is lapping up the CliniCare ... it will help her to put on some weight! -
Great - just wish it wasn't so expensive.

Second option
From undisclosedComments about CliniCareWhile my picky renal cat liked this right away. The price vs ounces made this one my second option. It's easy to use and store and doesn't have a weird or funky smell. He gets a bowl after his daily Sub-Q fluids. -
My sick kitty loves it
From San DiegoComments about CliniCareMy cat was ill and diagnosed with renal failure. She had gotten so sick that my family feared we would have to put her down. She had lost her appetite, showed signs of a UTI and was very weak and skinny. The vet had given her a prescription to increase her appetite as well as a subcutaneous fluid regimen. I decided to add the CliniCare RF to her daily care. One ounce in the morning and one ounce in the evening. She seemed to like it and drank most if not all that I gave her. I believe that this routine had gotten her through her crisis. She still has some kidney counts that are off but she is back to herself (as much as a 16 yr. old can be). I continue to give her the CliniCare RF when she acts a bit "off" and sleeps a lot. It seems to pull her through and help her feel better. I am grateful that she likes it and that it helps her. One thing though- I put it in smaller rubbermaid containers about 2 ounces in each, put them in the fridge, stir well and heat for 10 seconds, stir again before giving to her. I find that 1 can lasts one week. I had one for 10 days in fridge and it spoiled so I use it within the one week time frame now. -
I probably won't buy this again.
From Charlottesville, VaComments about CliniCareIt's really hard for me to say much about this-kitties with CRF are extremely difficult to get food into-the first time my cat drank a couple of ounces but now he turns his nose up at this. It isn't the fault of the product. I can open 10 different kinds of wet food and maybe he will eat a small amount of one.I say that I would recommend this because we have to try everything possible to get them taking in nutrition-so try one can and see how it goes.
