Significantly helped my senior Golden Retriever
I adopted my Golden Retriever, Alli, at the age of 11 from a rescue and she is now a few weeks shy of 16. When she first came into rescue she was pretty grouchy and apt to snap unexpectedly if touched in the wrong place or the wrong way. The rescue's vet diagnosed her with arthritis and I believe her grouchiness was very much related to pain from the arthritis. She was put on Putney carprofen right after her vet exam and has been on this medication continuously ever since. It has made a huge difference in her mobility and overall quality of life. She has never had any side effects from taking the medication and has mellowed significantly over the four years that I've been blessed to have her in my life. Ordering from Vet Rx Direct has been a very smooth and easy process and shipment is always very prompt.

I will not buy this product again
Tried Rimadyl and it was great but expensive. Tried Putney Carprofen tablets and they worked a little, then tried chewable and they did not work at all. Could see dramatic decline in overall well-being. Went back to using Rimadyl and both our Irish Terriers improved dramatically. One Irish is 15, the other 8.

Better than overpriced pharmaceutical from vet.
From Coral Springs, FL, USAComments about Carprovet (carprofen) CapletsThis product was half the price of the product the veterinarian sold. Since it is a prescription item, there is no threat to Teddy's health. He has all of the appropriate tests and examinations in order to continue with his meds. Good deal...Thank you for make ownership of an ill pet less costly. -
No side effects
From Worcester, MA, USAComments about Carprovet (carprofen) CapletsMacy, my spayed mixed breed, is a rescued dog recently diagnosed with arthritis. It's already making her limp sometimes and she has difficulty climbing into the car (I made her a step out of a shallow plastic storage bin), climbing stairs and she struggles a little to get up after lying down for a while. She's also over-weight at 80 lbs. This carprofen seems to work reasonably well but she still has some stiffness at the maximum dosage for her weight. I think the product is fine but I am looking for something to add to it to help her feel more comfortable. I'm also training her for walking on the treadmill but she doesn't want to stay on it unless she gets treats. Kind of defeats the purpose for weight loss but my vet says it will help keep her legs from getting too stiff.-
Our precious girl. She gets as many pillows as she wants. In this case three. -

Prompt service
From Atlanta, GA, USAComments about Carprovet (carprofen) CapletsVetRxDirect delivered. All I had to do was notify my vet to expect a fax requesting a prescription, and VetRx took care of the rest. The medication was delivered within days. The medication, Carprofen, is a generic that works for my retired racing greyhound as well as Rimadyl. And it's a lot less expensive!-

What's not to like?
From MinnesotaComments about Carprovet (carprofen) CapletsDoes the job and much cheaper than Rimadyl. And even though it isn't a "chewable" like Rimadyl, I throw it in the bowl with her meal and my 11-year old Lab gobbles it up along with the food, no problem (although it should be noted Labs are a breed not known for being picky eaters). -
Carprofen for my dog
From Oklahoma City, OK, USAComments about Carprovet (carprofen) CapletsMy OES was born with a deformed back leg. She had major reconstructive surgery that was successful and now she has a leg she can use. The carprofen was prescribed as a maintenance pill since the surgery 3 years ago for osteoarthritis which is common after a surgery like that. VetRx online pharmacy has been great and reasonable on their prices making it affordable for this long term drug. I receive the med in a timely manner and my dogs pain is controlled.-

Putney - Carprofen
From Zionville, NC, USAComments about Carprovet (carprofen) CapletsRecently our pet was diagnosed with arthritis and his vet put him on pain meds. We went on the VetRxDirect website to research a less expensive alternative to what the vet wanted to sell us. We found it! It is a generic to what the vet gave our pet and is working great. Our pet is managing his pain so much better now. If I could make only one suggestion it would be to shorten the amount of time it takes after the order is placed to receive the products. -
