Q & A
-
will this product work for hot spots on a brittany spaniel??
-
No, this is not the best product for hot spots. Most hot spots are treated first-line with oral antibiotics. Topical ointments are generally not used first-line for treatment, and steroid-containing ointments like Animax Ointment must be used cautiously. Please contact your veterinarian so that he or she can diagnose and choose the best treatment for your dog's hot spots.

I am looking for animax oitment for 8 months. You have any clue for being out of stock for so long? Thank you.?
-
Animax has been backordered from the manufacturer for several months now. Many pet owners are talking to their veterinarians about other ointment options in place of the Animax. Your pet's veterinarian will be the best person to decide what option would be best for your pet. If Animax does become available, we will update our website as soon as we are able to stock it again. the skin infection is near the cat's eyes....what if some animax contacts her eyes??
-
Gina, It’s recommended to avoid contact to the eyes with Animax due to irritation, however this is safe to use near the eyes. If Animax does contact the eye it is recommended to gently wipe the ointment away with a warm washcloth. Thank you, VetRxDirect
