A great antibacterial and antifungal
From UndisclosedComments about Zymox Topical CreamI have used this product for years and it has been very effective. My Pugs frequently get fungal infections and secondary bacterial infections on occasion. With this product to get more bang for your buck since it kills both organisms. I prefer This plane one versus the one with hydrocortisone. -
Easy to apply and is effective.

Can this be used on dog acne/pimples. She has a red swollen bump on her lip. Is this safe to ingest because i am sure she will lick it being that the bump is on her lip?
-
Priscilla, Zymox Topical Cream, a proprietary enzyme cream, is labelled for use in topical infections, wounds, and cuts. Zymox Topical Cream with 1% hydrocortisone, containing a corticosteroid, is not safe for dogs to ingest and should not be used on the lips if you think your dog will lick the bump. Additionally, there is no evidence to suggest that either product would be effective for acne in dogs. Please contact your veterinarian for further guidance in determining how best to treat the red swollen lip bump. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is this the best medication for eczematous and seborrheic dermatitis for dogs??
-
Yvette, There are a variety of topical medications and supplements used to treat or suppress the symptoms resulting from dermatitis. Topical corticosteroids as well as topical antimicrobial agents are common drug treatments used to reduce redness and itchiness associated with dermatitis. Zymox (hydrocortisone free) product contains enzymes that are known to treat topical infections. The right treatment will depend on the severity of the disease as well as other contributing factors. Contact your veterinarian to discuss what topical creams and/or shampoos that would most ideal for your pet’s skin disorder. Thank you, VetRxDirect
