Zylkene, 75mg: For dogs and cats 10 lbs and under, give 1 capsule daily. For dogs and cats 11 to 22 lbs, give 2 capsules daily.
Zylkene, 225mg: For cats 22 to 32 lbs, give 1 capsule daily or give as recommended by your veterinarian. For dogs 22 to 32 lbs, give 1 capsule daily. For dogs 33 to 65 lbs, give 2 capsules daily.
Zylkene 450mg: For dogs 33 to 65 lbs, give 1 capsule daily. For dogs 66 to 132 lbs, give 2 capsules daily.

Excellent Product
I have a little Bischon who's personality is carefree, happy-go-lucky, friendly, loving, playful etc... you get the idea. That all suddenly changed one day, she did not want to play, not motivated by food, shaking, hiding, and would not go out side. I believe something tried to attack her in the backyard. She uses a doggie door to go in and out of on her own. Oh, did I mention she begin soiling all over the house, something she never did.
Took her to the Vet, did blood work, urine etc.... no physical symptoms. She was experiencing severe anxiety- fear!
I started her on the Zylkene and together with a consistent re-training routine, she is improving. She still will not go out side on her own, but to see her happy again, warms my heart.
She begin improving within the same week of starting the Zylkene. She has not side affects! Great Product!!!!! And did I mention its a non-invasive way to treat anxiety!!!!! Love It.

Cat won't it eat it
My cat would not eat Zylkene, so it was a waste of money, especially since the bottle has 30 doses.

Relatively cheap thing to try to help with pet anxiety
From undisclosedComments about ZylkeneStarted using for my cat per veterinary behaviorist's recommendation. 150 mg daily. We buy that biggest capsules we can find (usually 450 mg "big dog" capsules) to be economical and measure out the appropriate dose using a gem scale (accurately measures to 1 mg). Cat is an adult neutered male with anxiety that has a history of inappropriate urination in the home. We find that he is much calmer throughout the day on Zylkene and the inappropriate urination has stopped altogether. He changed him from dry food to wet food at the same time, so we can't be sure what change is actually helping, but I'd say it's at least worth trying; an anxious peeing cat in the house sucks! -

Severe pica, especially when I'm traveling, have led to chew holes in my couch and my bed spread has scalloped edges. Since the first dose of Zylkene which was more than a month ago, pica is a rare rather than a daily occurrance. Thank you! -

From New MexicoComments about ZylkeneKarma was taken away from her mom at 4 weeks, it creates big issues, but once we started using Nurture Calm 24 / 7 Pheromone collar alone with Zylkene, it has made a real big difference. Karma is still not great in social settings but , is lots better than it use to be. I would recommend the use of both of these products, together.-

How long can our pet take this medication for? Our Golden has starting drooling while in the crate that he shares with our Lab. It does not matter how long we are gone. They have always been crated together and are 13 years old. When we return, the Lab's back is covered with drool.?

Will Zyklene help my 4.5 month old puppy better accept toe nail grooming? He tolerates me playing with his paws but totally freaks when I try to grind/file his nails. I can hold the grinder (with the safety cap on) up to his nose or paws with no fear from him. I have a 50 lb, two year old, high anxiety, border collie mix. She is fear aggressive toward other dogs and people. I started her on the 450 mg several months ago and had wonderful results, but i didn't order a refill on time, so she missed a couple of days of dosage. After I received her new refill, I started the same dosage again and it didn't have any therapeutic effect on her at all. I am so sad for her and us. My question is: is it ok to give her the 450 and a smaller dose along with it? The vet who recommended it to us said to double the dose but I am afraid it would be too much for her. Please help.?
