Can I dissolve the Zeniquin in a small amount of water and administer via syringe directly in my cat's mouth? She is NOT a good pill taker.?
-
Zeniquin (marbofloxacin) tablets can be split or crushed and mixed with food or water prior to administering to your pet. It is important to mix the medication with water or food right before administering to ensure the desired potency of the medication. Food containing magnesium, aluminum, or calcium limit the absorption of this drug so separate the dosing of these products by at least 2 hours. If your pet doesn’t tolerate the crushed tablet it may be due to the bitterness of the drug. Dosing and duration of therapy will vary depending on the type and severity of infection being treated. Please contact your veterinarian for further guidance. Thank you, VetRxDirect
