Q & A

9/27/2020 Bought Visbiome on Friday in San Diego. Vet did not mention refrigeration. I live in Los Angeles, and returned there Saturday morning about 10:00. The indoor temperature was about 80 degrees most of the day and night-time temp was in the low 70's. Is the product still good? When the boxes were given to me, they were not noticeably chilled.?
-
Visbiome should be stored under refrigeration. According to the manufacturer, Visbiome Vet is stable at room temperatures for up to a week without affecting potency. You may consider consulting with your veterinarian if you have more specific questions related to how the product was stored prior to purchase.
Verified Answer -
No it must be kept in frig. U can keep it out for 7 days but not in 80 degree temp

Is this the one that is also safe for cats? My vet recommended for my cat but your site says "for dogs" is there another one for cats or is this the one for both??
-
According to the manufacturer, Visbiome is safely used in cats despite the labeling for dogs. You can find more information on their website linked below: https://www.visbiome.com/pages/veterinary-dosing-guidelines
Verified Answer -
Our vet at veterinary university of Georgia prescribed it to our cat who has intestinal inflammation. We should give her half of each capsule and add it to her wet food once a day.
