Our go-to medication
From New MexicoComments about Vetprofen (carprofen) CapletsLady's predecessors, Ralph, Rusty and Augie, all used this wonderful medication when age and arthritis hit. It added years and mobility to their lives. Now, Lady is 13 and has issues with her hindquarters. I'm confident it will help her as well. -
Great product and price!
From New MexicoComments about Vetprofen (carprofen) CapletsI used this before with two of my late dogs. Kept them moving and was much more affordable than purchasing it from the vet. Now, Linus has bone-on-bone arthritis (he's 13 and a half) and needs a little help. -

Vetprofen Helps Our Dog and Improves His Life
From UndisclosedComments about Vetprofen (carprofen) Caplets 100mg, 240ctOur vet prescribed Vetprofen for our twelve year old dog when he started having mobility issues. The Vetprofen does an excellent job, helping him run and hike and play. He no longer appears to have stiffness in his rear legs when he rises or lies down. Vet Rx Direct is such a great company. The customer service can't be beat. Everyone is friendly and helpful—you can tell they love animals! We will continue to get our prescriptions filled here because it's fast and cost-effective. Ten paws up! -

Great Rx for long term use
From UndisclosedComments about Vetprofen (carprofen) CapletsMy dog was prescribed this med for her very bad knees many years ago. It is a non steroidal anti inflamatory which has not had any of the side effects steroids have. She takes one per day along with a pain pill, which helps her maintain her quality of life. VetRxDirect has the same Rx, I used to buy from the vet, at a much more reasonable price. I have been ordering from them for years. I recommed them highly. -

My pugs were doing very well on a smaller dose of vetprofen, but when we switched to carprofen ( from Costco, so much cheaper than from the vet) they seem to be doing poorly( very stiff and gimpy) even though we uppef their dosage. Are these two drugs exactly the same or could one be dicferent and jst not be as effective??

Is Vetprofen safer or beter than Norvox ot Rimadyl? or is the only difference flavored tablets>?
-
Vetprofen and Novox both contain carprofen, are non-flavored caplets, and are the generic equivalents to Rimadyl. Generic medications are required by law to contain the same active ingredients. The main differences between the name brand Rimadyl and these generics is the manufacturer, and Rimadyl comes in a flavored chewable tablet.
