Vetergen Antiseptic KC for Dogs and Cats Shampoo & Leave on Conditioner
Vetergen Antiseptic KC is a medicated, soap-free formula for dogs, cats, and horses. Both the shampoo and conditioner provide and antimicrobial and antifungal cleansing with chlorhexidine and ketoconazole to help manage skin conditions caused by bacteria, yeast, or fungi. They also contain chitosan, a natural biopolymer that forms a protective layer over the skin for hydration and helps restore damaged tissue. Vetergn Antiseptic KC also includes alkyl polyglucoside, an ingredient used to help reduce microbes from sticking to the skin and reducing the chance of potential infection. The Leave on Conditioner does not require rinsing and can be used between shampoos for spot treatment.

possible alternatives that would be appropriate for your pet. I can't find any alternatives. This is the only medication that works. Do you know when you will have it? I was told the end of October But it's not here still. Why The FDA said this medication has no medical value. I Beg to Differ. Um possible alternatives that would be appropriate for your pet?!! What has the medication in it , that this product has??

At this time (2/12/2020), we do not have an expected date of when we will have more of the Vetergen Antiseptic KC in stock. The medicated ingredients in the product are Chlorhexidine Digluconate 2% and Ketoconazole 1%. There are a wide variety of other brands of shampoos and conditioners that contain the same active ingredients, such as VetraSeb CK. VetRxDirect does not recommend or endorse any particular product. We recommend asking your veterinarian for advice about alternatives to the Vetergen Antiseptic KC, and other questions or concerns about your dog's or cat's condition and needs. How long shouldn't we give our dog these baths??

Unless directed otherwise, the Vetergen Antiseptic KC shampoo should be left on hair for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinsed thoroughly with clean water and repeated. After shampooing or wetting the hair coat, the Vetergen Antiseptic KC Leave on Conditioner should be applied with a sufficient amount to cover the affected areas or the entire hair coat along the back of your dog. Then massage the Leave on Conditioner on the skin and hair coat. The conditioner may be used in localized areas for spot treatment or between shampoos and does not require rinsing.
