It's a NO GO!
From UndisclosedComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine) 10mg, 250 Flavored TabletsA mobile vet made a household, took some blood from our cat, Bronx, and recommended something for allergy, I found Vetadryl online, so far Bronx won't try it, mixed in food, even with the flavoring! Not able to convince him! -
GREAT! I got the 10 mg size for my 11# dog and it's perfect.
From Pacific NWComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine)I love having the right size tablets and not having to cut Benadryl in half. I also don't like the red dye on Benadryl. These pills are liver flavored and she takes them easily in some almond butter. I highly recommend these for allergies. -
Vetadryl no sniffles & no scratching!
From UndisclosedComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine) 10mg, 250 Flavored TabletsNellie eats these like any meaty treats. -
I would buy this product again
From UndisclosedComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine)Stopped the itching! Great product! -
I will continue to purchase!
From undisclosedComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine)Same medication the Vet was giving at a considerable decrease in price. -
Glad to have vet formula available...
From undisclosedComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine)Very glad to now have the dog version of this allergy med...human version (Benadryl) cannot be dosed at the correct amount for dogs less than 5 pounds and human version has dye in it which, even for humans, is not good....shipped VERY fast after script approved by vet! -
This is a must have for all pet owners.
From Miami, FLComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine)Most veterinarians that recommend Benadryl for allergies tell you to buy it over the counter at the local pharmacy and adjust the dosage based on your pet's weight (it is 1mg per pound of weight) and all pharmacies only sell 25mg tablets. My dog weighs 7 lbs so it would be difficult to cut a tablet to get the right dose. I was very happy to find this 10mg flavored tablet for my dog. It makes it so much easier than liquid and my dog eats it like a treat. Vetadryl is handy to have for any allergic reaction, be it due to a bee sting or vaccines or seasonal allergies. This is ideal for small dogs and cats. I highly recommend this as a staple in any responsible pet parents medicine cabinet. Also ideal for multi-modal allergy treatment with allergy immunizations and apoquel. -
I will get this again untill I find another brand to try.
From texasComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine)These are a great way to combat my cats allergies. For some reason 10mg tabs are very difficult to find. The only downside is the coating is useless. The bitter taste causes my poor kitty to drool excessively if I can not get it in perfectly with a pill popper. My cat is very tolerant; other animals may resist taking this because the liver coating is useless. The pills work, they seem fresh, and five minutes of drooling is nothing compared to my cat itching herself untill she bleeds. -
A real lifesaver
From Sherrills Ford, NCComments about Vetadryl (diphenhydramine)My poor dog has allergies which are worse certain times of the year. The vet had given me 30 pills to try and I was lucky enough to see the container from which she took them. After seeing how well they worked I checked the internet and came up with Vetrxdirect. They are only a small fraction of the cost the vet charged. I have been ordering them ever since and am more than satisfied.

Vetadryl (Diphenhydramine) Antihistamine My cat really hates this med. She drools horribly no matter how I give her this med. Is there a coated alternative I can give her to prevent this reaction? 10 mg dosage.?
-
The Vetadryl brand is only manufactured in a chewable tablet at this time. We are not aware of a 10 mg coated diphenhydramine tablet. Speak with your veterinarian for administration suggestions that may help your pet avoid the bitter taste of diphenhydramine.

Your response to another question on this page said Vetadryl did not require a prescription but I tried to purchase it and got a pop-up saying it did require a prescription. It's just [less than] 1/2 strength Benadryl so is your system incorrect? I was just able to purchase it from another website and was not asked for a prescription.?
-
Vetadryl is no longer available without a prescription from a veterinarian.

i bought the Vetadryl 10250 for my cat for travel anxiety. I am confused about the amount to give hime. On the bottle the suggested use is 2-4 mg,but the table size is 10mg. If I cut it in half that would be 5mg and that is more than the recommended use. My cat is around 10 years old and weighs 12l bs. Should I give hime half a tablet? Thank you for your help. Lana?
-
The dosage is actually 2-4mg/kg so a 12 pound pet would get 10-20mg every 12 hours. Thank you, VetRxDirect

So I see that is says on the directions 2-4mg every 8-12 hours for allergy. I am not understanding how it is the same dose for every animal for one, and the also how in the heck to you break a 30mg or 10mg small tablet into 2mg or 4mg doses. The directions on that bottle make no sense at all to me.?
-
The instructions are to give 2-4mg/kg so if your pet is 10 pounds, it would get 10-20mg every 12 hours. Thank you, VetRxDirect
