From UndisclosedComments about Universal Medicated ShampooI have an English Bulldog and this product works best for her skin allergies. She is 8 years old and this is the only shampoo I have used on her. Never had a need to try anything different. PLUS the packaging and shipping of this item from VetRxDirect is topnotch (the best). -

My dog has Sebaceous Adenitis. While I give her cyclosporine daily, I also bathe her weekly. Is Universal Medicated Shampoo okay to use? Or will it be too strong? I have used a shampoo in the past with 2% salicylic acid. thanks?
-
This product is a deep cleansing shampoo that contains chloroxylenol 2%, salicylic acid 2%, and sodium thiosulfate 2%. Chloroxylenol is an antibacterial that kills various bacterial and fungal organisms and viruses. Salicylic acid and sodium thiosulfate have mild anti-itching and antibacterial properties. The use of all of these active ingredients together for the treatment of sebaceous adenitis will require guidance by your veterinarian. We recommend discussing this treatment option with your veterinarian before using this.
