Great to Keep on Hand - Better Price than Vet!
From UndisclosedComments about B.N.P. Triple Antibiotic Eye OintmentAlong with Metronidazole for upset stomachs (strong antibiotic primarily used as an anti-diarrheal to treat inflammation of the large intestine), this ocular antibiotic is a must-have for all of our canine companions. Like all prescription medication, use only at the request and under prescription guidance of your vet but definitely keep this on hand - especially for dogs that get frequent (3-4/year) eye infections. -

I always keep some on hand
From UndisclosedComments about B.N.P. Triple Antibiotic Eye OintmentI have shih tzus, which are prone to eye issues. Generally, for day-to-day irritations and dryness, I'll use Puralube, which is an excellent product. Sometimes; however, the irritation persists and I'll use this antibiotic eye ointment to prevent issues from progressing. I always keep one of these on hand for use, as more serious issues always seem to crop up after vet clinic hours or on weekend or holidays. -

Our Standard Poodle Loves VetRexDirect..I have one request
From undisclosedComments about B.N.P. Triple Antibiotic Eye OintmentWe are so happy to get meds for Landis, our beloved standard poodle at VetRxDirect. We travel a lot and Landis' opthamologist is 30 miles from our home in south Florida so even when we are there it is a 45 minute drive to get meds from the vet. So getting meds on-line really helps. My only request, because size of med we need regularly is so small, is that we could order two at a time...help!

We dont have a veterinarian, but we found a stray kitten that desperately needs this for her poor little eyes. Is there anyway to get antibiotics for her eyes without having to have a vet right away. I just cant afford both until payday.?

Isn't this Neopolydex ointment? BNP is a different drug than Neopolydex. They contain similar ingredients but have different dosages.?
-
B.N.P. Triple Antibiotic Eye Ointment is not the same as Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Suspension. Both eye drops do contain Neomycin Sulfate and Polymyxin B Sulfate but B.N.P. Triple Antibiotic Eye Ointment contains Bacitracin Zinc whereas Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Suspension contains Dexamethasone.

Can you use standard neosporin meant for external use on the eye??
-
According to the Neosporin packaging, it should absolutely NOT be used in the eye. Only a product specifically labeled for eye/ophthalmic use should be used in the eye. Ophthalmic eye ointments are sterile products that will help prevent further infection in the eye.

Is this product for humans? And will it take care of pink eye??
-
Pinkeye or conjunctivitis can be have a variety of different causes including allergies, bacteria, viruses and fungi. While there is a similar product labeled for human use, B.N.P Triple antibiotic eye ointment only contains ingredients to treat a bacterial infection and is not appropriate treatment for all forms of pinkeye.
