Is this medicine good for cats with ringworm? I'm fostering a very skittish and scared cat that I cannot touch. I would like to crush this pill to put in his food as I can't touch him to apply to topicals.?
-
Ringworm treatment for cats incorporate prescription anti-fungal medications such as itraconazole and griseofulvin, many of which can be crushed and given with a meal. The use of a steroid medication such as triamcinolone is not typical of ringworm treatment in cats. Delay in treatment may result in worsened outcomes and it is encouraged to discuss treatment options with your veterinarian. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Is this the same Triamcinolone that we got from our vet for the cat allergies? We used up a bottle so far and have had great success. I hope it's the same and doesn't have any flavor so the kitty will take the pill crushed into het food.?
-
Bryan, This should be the same medication you received from the vet. The tablets we carry are round and pink and are not flavored. Thank you, VetRxDirect
