What are Tape Worm Tabs?
Tape Worm Tabs are tablets containing praziquantel, a medication used to rid tapeworm infestations in dogs and cats. Tape Worm Tabs are indicated for infestations of tapeworms including dipylidium caninum, a tapeworm transmitted by fleas. While Tape Worm Tabs are available without a prescription, veterinarian contact is necessary to use them. The cat product contains 23 mg of praziquantel, and the dog product contains 34 mg of praziquantel and they are not interchangeable. The dosing considerations listed below are general guidelines and should not take place of a veterinarian’s recommendations. Most cats and dogs will have their tapeworm infestation cleared up after one dose. However, if proper prevention is not employed they may reappear. Tape Worm Tabs should not be used in kittens under 6 weeks of age and puppies less than 4 weeks of age. Fasting is not recommended before giving Tape Worm Tabs, they may be given with food.

Came with 3 pills but did not say whether to give 1 per day 3 days in a row, 1 per month 3 months in a row, or 1 whenever tapeworms were seen. Cat wouldn't swallow pill. Crushed 1 & mixed in food, she ate it, had diarrhea all day, I emailed in for help with directions twice & they emailed back once with same directions on bottle which still didnt explain when the 3 pills were to be given. Crushed #2 pill & put in cats food on day #2 taking a chance but she never ate it. #3 pill still in bottle unused. The 1 pill did seem to take away tapeworms but directions need to be more specific. I was very disappointed in the directions. -

The pills came super quick in the mail and not only did I receive the pills but there was also a little bag of treats! From now on I will buy my cat medicine from vetrx not only is it cheap but they seem like really good people and now I have a super happy kitty :)-

My only complaint though is that it was very difficult to actually get the cats to take the pill. We tried mixing it with wet food, but they all just ate around it. We finally got the job done by crushing it, mixing it with water, and using a tube syringe. This was a nightmare, but nonetheless, the product worked and that's why I'm still giving it five stars. -

One of the important things for me in addition to working well is ease of giving it to them. I like the small size of the pills and in 2 seconds, I have them down the hatch and they have no idea what I just did. It's a little pricey but worth it for the ease of use for me.-

Saved me a trip to the vet!
From Ardmore, OKComments about Tape Worm TabsAfter noticing those fragments all over the cat's bedding, and being financially strapped at the time, I ordered these tablets in lieu of making an expensive vet appointment. The price was excellent and seemed almost too good to be true, but the reviews said otherwise. I'm glad I listened to the reviews! I was able to crush these into my cat's food and disguise the taste with tuna juice. I can not emphasize enough how immediate this product worked! There have been ZERO fragments anywhere since the day I gave this to the cat! Highly recommended! -
