The dose of Tapazole tablets for hyperthyroidism in your pet must be determined by your pet’s veterinarian. The most common adverse effects associated with this medication include lethargy, depression, lack of appetite, and vomiting; especially during the start of therapy. This medication may also cause upset stomach in your pet which usually doesn’t last for an extended period of time. If any of these adverse effects or other concerning effects are occurring with your pet, we recommend following-up with your pet’s veterinarian. The veterinarian will be able to determine the most appropriate dose based upon an evaluation of the relief of your pet’s hyperthyroid symptoms, presence of any side-effects, and laboratory tests. Follow-ups when initiating or adjusting the dose of this medication are usually frequent for this reason. Thank you, VetRxDirect
