- Insulin syringes are necessary for administering this important drug.
- U-40 insulin is divided into 40 dosing units per milliliter.
- U-40 insulin syringes are designed to inject U-40 insulin types, such as ProZinc and Vetsulin.
- SOL syringes allow for easy, accurate dosing with half-unit, bold dosage markings and a transparent barrel.
- Needles are ultra-sharpened for injection comfort.

Half the Needles are bent
From PAComments about SOL-VET U-40 Insulin SyringesThe first box I received came directly from the Vets office and I had no problems with the syringes, so I wanted to stick with the same brand. I have been buying these syringes from VetsRx Direct for awhile now and half, sometimes most of the Needles and the syringes themselves are bent/not straight. I end up throwing a good portion of them out. I however am happy with VetRx Direct and will use their site again. -

Syringes
From UndisclosedComments about SOL-VET U-40 Insulin SyringesBest syringes on the market. -
Very glad to have found these syringes!
From UndisclosedComments about SOL-VET U-40 Insulin SyringesWe have a diabetic cat whose dose is 5.5 units of insulin. These are the only U-40 insulin syringes I could easily find that had half-unit markings which is very helpful for maintaining accuracy when delivering his insulin. Thanks!! -
Love this syringe,
From LA -stateComments about SOL-VET U-40 Insulin SyringesEasy to use, great for small dosing of insulin, easy to read due to color contrast between plunger and markings....often difficult to find half unit markers with sharp, sharp point, -
I would not buy this product again.
From undisclosedComments about SOL-VET U-40 Insulin SyringesThese syringes are poor quality. The orange caps fall off easily (some were off before opened the bar.) And the plunger slides too easily, it's hard to keep the insulin at the right dose until the cat is injected. -
Very pleased with my Sol-M Insulin Syringes.
From New Britain, Ct.Comments about SOL-VET U-40 Insulin SyringesI use this item for my dog that had diabetes.

My vet started my diabetic cat out with this type of syringe: Sol-Vet [ref V3305-40] 0.3ml 30G x 1/2" (0.3mm x 12.5mm) U-40 insulin syringe with 1/2 unit markings do you offer this exact syringe? or could you clarify what 0.3ml means? Thanks.?
-
At this time [5/1/2019],VetRxDirect is no longer offering the SOL-Vet syringes for sale. Other brands of syringes for sale from our pharmacy are UltiCare, VetOne, Vetsulin, and BD. The U-40 indicates that the insulin is divided for dosing into 40 units per milliliter. Other types of insulin are U-100. It is important to make sure that the syringes are the correct type, U-40 or U-100, to match the insulin that your cat receives. 30G indicates the gauge or the circumference of the needle. The smaller the gauge, the larger around the needle is. 0.3mL means the syringe will hold ⅓ of a milliliter of insulin. If you are giving only one unit, the 0.3ml syringe is going to be the easiest size syringe to use to measure this amount. Please consult your veterinarian about what other brands of syringes would be best for your cat.

How do I ask for a longer needle.?
-
A ½ inch needle is the typical needle length for pet insulin syringes and is the largest needle VetRx offers for U-40 insulin syringes. Contact your veterinarian if you have concerns regarding appropriate needle lengths for your cat or dog.
