This really works!
I bought one of these for one of my rescued Bulldogs, Bozz. He had brain cancer which would occasionally cause him to have seizures and couldn't take Comfortis. I tried this collar on him and it really worked! We have a huge flea problem here in the Deep South. We don't have a tick problem where I live. Seresto collar worked great on Bozz until he went to the Bridge. Sunshine is now wearing it and I love it! We will be getting one for each of our dogs. It works for eight months and I have not seen a flea on Sunshine and never saw one on Bozz.

Sizing confusing
This product is amazing, however, they should provide a medium. My dog is right at 20 lbs (2 over the recommended weight for small). She is old, so the large actually seems a bit much. Anyway, I mistakenly ordered a small thinking it was a medium. I discovered the error after I had opened the container. I'm now stuck with the wrong dosage. I just hope it works efficiently.

Q & A
-
Can seresto be used with zymox ear medicine??
-
According to Plumb’s Veterinary Drug Handbook, there is no known data on drug interactions between the active ingredients in Seresto (imidacloprid and flumethrin) and the active ingredient found in most (but not all) Zymox products, hydrocortisone. This does not mean that there are no interactions with the two products, only that there is a lack of data. Please consult with your veterinarian with any further questions or concerns regarding these medications in your pet.

The FDA has serious questions about Seresto flea collars. It certainly seems serious. Has anything changed to make it safer? See: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/investigations/2021/03/02/seresto-dog-cat-collars-found-harm-pets-humans-epa-records-show/4574753001/?

My two senior cats have been on Revolution for years. During the day they sit outside on our patio. Other then that, they are indoors. I am finding fleas on them. Since it takes 36 hrs. to kill fleas with Revolution, can I also put a Seresto collar on them to repel the fleas??

We are using Sentinel Flavor Tabs for our dog 12 months per year, since we are in New York in the summer and Florida in the winter. I have just removed a tick from her. Is the Seresto collar compatible with Sentinel Flavor Tabs??
-
Sentinel Flavor Tabs are given once a month to prevent and control the infection of heartworm, hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm. They also prevent flea infestation by stopping the growth of flea eggs into adults. Sentinel Flavor Tabs do not contain an ingredient to protect dogs against ticks. The Seresto Collar repels and kills fleas and ticks, kills chewing lice, and controls mange mites. The ingredients in Seresto bind to the natural oils of the skin and hair where they remain and are not absorbed. According to the manufacturer, there are currently no contraindications with prescription medications and Seresto. Please consult with your veterinarian to determine if these products will best suits your pets needs. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Hi. Our Golden Retriever swims 1-2 times a day. Can this collar be easily removed and replaced. Did not want to lose effectiveness of collar by keeping it on while swimming. Thank you?
-
Seresto contains two active ingredients, Imidacloprid and flumethrin. Imidacloprid kills fleas and flumethrin repels and kills ticks. The collar can be removed and replaced several times, however the manufacturer was reluctant to use the word easily. The collar is water resistant and does not typically need to be removed when your dog swims or is bathed.Removing the collar before swimming or bathing will not make the collar last longer. Whenever you dog gets wet, some of the medication is washed off, this decreases the concentration and the collar releases more medication to get back to the effective concentration. The collar will release medication to replenish what was washed off, this occurs whether it was worn while swimming or not. If swimming or bathing occurs more than once per month, as it does for your dog, the duration is reduced to five months. Talk with your veterinarian to determine if this is the best flea and tick prevention choice for your golden retriever. Thank you, VetRxDirect

Typically one of these products is used by itself to treat and prevent flea, tick, and lice infestation. There are no studies available with the Seresto collar being used in conjunction with Frontline Plus. my dog is only 4 lbs, do you think the small collar for flea and tick will fit him??
-
Adriane, It says it will work on dogs and puppies 7 weeks and older and up to 18 pounds. It looks like the collar is adjustable so it should work but you can always contact the manufacturer, Bayer, to be sure. They would be able to tell you for sure if it would fit. Thank you, VetRxDirect
