  • Do not administer to cats or dogs with acute, oliguric, anuric, or very advanced renal failure.
  • Do not administer to cats or dogs with other diseases where high potassium levels may be encountered, such as adrenal insufficiency, acute dehydration, or urethral obstruction.
  • Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven.

How do you use Renal K+ Possium Gluconate for Cats and Dogs?

  • Use as directed by your veterinarian. 
  • Administer during or after the animal has eaten to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset.

Renal K+ Gel

  • For adult dogs and cats, give 1/2 teaspoon per 10 lbs of body weight twice daily. Can be given directly.

Renal K+ Powder

  • For adult dogs and cats, give 1 level scoop per 10 lbs of body weight twice daily at mealtime. Can sprinkle powder on food.

  • Active ingredient per 1/2 teaspoonful of gel (2.5 mL): Potassium Gluconate 2 mEq (468 mg).
  • Inactive ingredients: Biotin, Calcium D Pantothenate Citric Acid, Cyanocobalamin, Folic Acid, Maple Flavor, Niacinamide, Potassium Sorbate, Purified Water, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin 5-Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, Sucralose, Thiamine Hydrochloride.

  • Active ingredient per 1 level scoop: Potassium Gluconate 2.2 mEq (514 mg).
