I do not see an ingredient label. What is in this dip besides Pyrethrin and what is Pyrethrin? Thanks?

We offer Pyrethrin Dip as manufactured by Virbac. There are both active and inactive ingredients in this product. Pyrethrins (active ingredient) are natural insecticide compounds derived from Chrysanthemums that have repellent and killing activity against adult fleas, lice, gnats, ticks, mosquitoes, and flies. At higher concentrations pyrethrins act by paralyzing these insects resulting in their eradication. At lower concentrations they can still act as a repellent. Pyrethrins are generally well tolerated, but pet’s may be allergic (especially if allergic to species of Chrysanthemum). Other uncommon side-effects include irritation, itching, or dryness at the application site. Any allergic reaction or side-effects should be reported to your pet’s veterinarian. Owners should also plan to wear gloves during application to avoid irritation of their own skin. Other active ingredients in the product include Piperonyl Butoxide Technical, N-Octyl Bicycloheptene Dicarboximide, and Di-n-Propyl Isocinchomeronate. Before using this product, we recommend you consult with your pet’s veterinarian. The veterinarian will be able to determine if this product is the best treatment option for your pet. took my dogs to Florida for a month, brought back nuclear proof fleas! I have given them multiple flea baths, frontline, advanticks, ect... Will this product work on Florida fleas??
-
Mike, Pyrethrin Dip will kill adult fleas on your dogs, but it will not have any effect on fleas in the environment. Any flea treatment may appear that it is not working if fleas are reproducing rapidly in the environment. You probably need to treat your house and any other areas your pet's visit. Consult your veterinarian for advice and it may be best to call a trusted exterminator. Good luck and thank you, VetRxDirect
