Product is EXCELLENTLY...site, not so much!
From Cypress, CAComments about Prazosin HCl (Generic)Not sure why, but shipping has been a problem. Always a problem ordering and getting prescription in a timely manner. Not sure why it cannot be an easier transaction since our dog needs this medication everyday. -
Rosy Loves It!
From Cypress, CAComments about Prazosin HCl (Generic)We have been giving this to our small Yorkie for awhile now, and he is doing very well on it! Ordering online has been cheaper, and we get the medicine quickly. It really is a great way to get prescriptions, too, so don't hesitate to try it. Rosy takes this medicine for his kidneys, and it is working great!

So, is this the same Prazosin my vet prescribed or is it different? The previous answer said "If a veterinarian were to prescribe Prazosin, Prazosin Hydrochloride would be dispensed". I need a better long term solution to my cat's need, but I'm skeptical since his prescription bottle doesn't have "hydrochloride" on it anywhere.?
-
"Prazosin" and "Prazosin Hydrochloride" are the same thing. It is just a shorter way of saying the name.

I have to treat my dear cat with Prazosin 0.5 mg daily and am looking for a better resource. Is Prazosin Hydrachloride the same product for treatment of urinary crystal production as Prazosin ??
-
Prazosin Hydrochloride is the only available salt form of prazosin. If a veterinarian were to prescribe prazosin, prazosin hydrochloride would be dispensed. Prazosin can be used to treat functional urethral obstruction in dogs and cats. It works by reducing the muscle tone of the urinary tract, instead of reducing urinary crystal production. Please contact your pharmacist or veterinarian for further information. Thank you, VetRxDirect
