My vet recommended duck and pea pill pockets for our dog with IBD. Greenies apparently no longer makes this product. Is there a suitable alternative? She is on Hydrolized RX dog food and is not supposed to have standard treats but needs a pill pocket to take her supplements.?

If your dog has special dietary needs, it is recommended that you consult with your veterinarian. According to the manufacturer, Pill Pockets Allergy Formula contain the following ingredients: Rehydrated Duck, Glycerin, Ground Peas, Natural Flavors, Pea Protein, Vegetable Oil, Sodium Bisulfate, Water, Dried Cultured Skim Milk, Xanthan Gum, Smoke Flavor, Preserved With Mixed Tocopherols. Can these be given to cats? Is there a similar grain-free product designed for them??

The manufacturer states that the product can be given to cats. They did say however that the medication is formulated for dogs so they could not guarantee the palatability of it in cats. Please consult your veterinarian about questions you have about the product or other options.
