Excellent Urinary Tract Support
From Tampa, FLComments about Paxon (Cranberry Extract)I purchased both Azodyl and Paxon so I'm copying below my Azodyl review that covers both products. I have a foster Pomeranian who has kidney stones and bladder cancer (TCC). He previously had bladder stones that were removed and has had a UTI that has persisted since January in spite of multiple rounds of antibiotics and natural supplements (d-mannose, cranimals, and UTR). I read a recommendation from a holistic website for Azodyl and Paxon to support kidney health so I purchased them because the NSAID prescribed for TCC can be tough on the kidneys. My dog is 12 lbs. and I give him 1 unopened Azodyl capsule 1 hr. before breakfast and 1 hour before dinner in a very small amount of fermented raw goat's milk. The product recommends 3 capsules daily for his weight, but I opted to go with 2 since he's on the cusp of the weight range, and the product is somewhat expensive. I give him 1/2 of a tablet of the Paxon in his breakfast -- again this is less than the recommended dose of 1 tablet daily for his weight. I tested his urine with a test strip after 10 days on these new supplements, and for the first time since January, there was no blood in his urine! This is not what I was targeting with the products, but I will take it! He has great energy and is very lively. I'll also add that I looked at other online retailers to purchase these products from; but I went with VetRX in hopes the package would arrive cold to Florida since the Azodyl is heat sensitive. The shipping was quick, and the packaging was amazing. It arrived very cold with a still solidly frozen ice pack inside despite the brutal Florida heat. Kudos all around! #sweepstakes -
Excellent Urinary Tract Support Product
From UndisclosedComments about Paxon (Cranberry Extract)I purchased Paxon and Azodyl. really works
From northeast ohioComments about Paxon (Cranberry Extract)this product has really helped my dog with her urinary tract issues. she was an early spay and was having some incontinence issues. i have been giving her this product for 3 or 4 years and it has really helped. she rarely has these issues now. -
Life saver! Great Value!
From Wichita, KS, USAComments about Paxon (Cranberry Extract)I started my dog on Paxon tablets over 6 months ago and it has been wonderful. My dog has an immune compromising condition and was, therefor, getting bladder infections extremely often. They were a hassle for us and painful for him. My Vet recommended that I start him on Paxon and we haven't had a bladder infection since. We recently ran out of Paxon tablets and couldn't get more for almost a week. After being off of them for 5 days, he started to get another infection. So, it just confirmed for me that it really is the Paxon that has made the difference. He is an extremely picky eater. So, we have to hide them in canned food. He doesn't just eat them on his food, but it's a small price to pay. I highly recommend this product for pets suffering from frequent uti's and this price is very competitive. -
Didn't help with my dog's urinary frequency
From Florida, USAComments about Paxon (Cranberry Extract)I bought this at the suggestion of my vet to help my senior dog with her urinary frequency. It didn't help at all with that, but it did stop my other dog from eating her stool (must make it distasteful) so I'm buying it now just for that purpose!

My dog has had always problems with her UT. She was abused when she was young and had puppies too early. I adopted her 2 years ago and have been doing my best to keep her as healthy as possible. Paxon helps her a lot. My question is - can she take Paxon every day as a part of her regular diet or I can only do 6 week treatment every few months? If so, how often? Please advise as no vet has a definite answer for me. Thank you.?
-
According to the manufacturer, Paxon should be given once daily for a period of 4 to 6 weeks as directed by your veterinarian. We recommend asking your veterinarian if this product can be given continuously for your dog.
