I'm curious, this product is clearly labelled for use on dogs but you have written cats and dogs throughout your description, why is that so??
-
Osurnia is indicated for the treatment of certain types of ear infections in dogs caused by bacteria and yeast. The manufacturer has not labeled this medication for use in cats, however, it may be prescribed by a veterinarian for extra-label use in cats for treating certain conditions. Because of this, we have included cats in the product description on the website.

Side effects . Is it true after the application of osurnia the ear can't get wet for 45 days??
-
Side effects reported in one study included elevated liver function tests, weight loss, vomiting, and decreased hearing. The package insert states that the ear canal should not be cleaned for 45 days after the initial administration to allow contact of the gel with the ear canal. If it is cleaned before the 45 day period after initial application, it can interfere with the effectiveness of the medication. If you would like further recommendations or questions about this product, please contact your pet's veterinarian.
