Saved me money
I was very happy to find that this was at least $5 cheaper than what my vet charges me. I had free shipping, and I was able to do this from the comfort of my home on my laptop. They did the work for me, they contacted my dogs vet, and got the perscription verified. The whole process took less than a week!!!!! This was a great experience for me!!!!! Bailey's eyes are much happier now!

Only used once and it already feels empty
I just started using this product and the very first time I squeezed it, it felt like a lot of air came out and then the product but the container was already almost empty. I have only used it once.I cannot even see how this will last me a week, let alone an entire month. I feel cheated, as if the this product was sent almost empty so that I can order it again much sooner. This feels more like the product was intentionly sent like this by your company.

I will continue to purchase unless I can get liquid form.
From undisclosedComments about Optimmune (cyclosporine) Ophthalmic OintmentThis product works well for my Yorkie's dry eye, however, I prefer the cyclosporine in liquid form or compounded. -
Precision tip applicator helps
From undisclosedComments about Optimmune (cyclosporine) Ophthalmic OintmentThis ointment is great. Keeps my dogs eyes from drying out. One of her eyes is smaller than the other so it's hard to get some medications into it. But not this ointment! The precision tip is great to get the medicine right where you need it to go -

Good Savings
From Napa, CAComments about Optimmune (cyclosporine) Ophthalmic OintmentThis medication has very much helped my Bichon retain sight in her one good eye. She had cataracts before she was two, and has lost sight in one eye, in spite of the fine efforts of her eye specialist. It obviously does what it's supposed to do! -
Regular Purchase
From La, caComments about Optimmune (cyclosporine) Ophthalmic OintmentI purchase this regularly for my dog, on the advice of my dog's Vet. Very pricey I try to use coupons every time I order. I use this in conjunction with I-drops for my Min Pin. -
Works Well
From Napa, CAComments about Optimmune (cyclosporine) Ophthalmic OintmentBoth of my Bichons have been on this medicine from their eye specialist, and for both, it has done the job. With the considerable expense involved in taking care of our sweet pups, we save money by ordering some of their prescriptions from this company, which is a great help, and the products are delivered very quickly! -
Great Service!
From Ocean Shores, WAComments about Optimmune (cyclosporine) Ophthalmic OintmentThis particular product (optimmune) is by prescription only so I can't comment on whether or not anything else compares.. I can say though that the service in delivering it is great. -

Q & A

If we use the ointment twice per day, will the 3.5mg tube be good for one month or two??
-
The estimated duration for which a 3.5 gram tube of Optimmune ointment will last can vary greatly depending on the amount applied per treatment. According to the manufacturer, if using an application amount of ¼ -inch in each eye twice daily, a 3.5 gram tube will last approximately 6 weeks

Visicare is a generic form of cyclosporine ointment. Is it safe to change from Optimmune to Visicare? The s it the same quality??
-
Optimmune is a prescription ophthalmic ointment that contains 2mg of cyclosporine per gram and is labeled for the treatment of dry eye or keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) and chronic superficial keratitis (CSK) in dogs. Visiocare is also an ophthalmic ointment that also contains cyclosporine, however, it appears that Visiocare is not currently manufactured or available for purchase in the United States. Please consult with your veterinarian with any further questions or concerns regarding the use of these products for your pet.

Optimmune cyclosporine for cats.?? ??? Is it safe? The label says it is for dogs.?
-
Optimmune is approved for the treatment of keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eyes) in dogs. The active ingredient cyclosporine acts as a local immunomodulator stimulating tear production in dogs. Safety data for the use of this product in cats isn't available, but optimmune has been used in cats under the direct supervision of a veterinarian. Talk with your veterinarian to see if this is something that is safe for your cat to use. Thank you, VetRxDirect

My dog has been prescribed cyclosporine 1% eye drops for KCS. Do you have anything equivalent??
-
my dog max had an eye infection took him to the vet was given optimmune had to buy another tube $60.00 he gave me no prescription refill. was wondering what I can use as a generic if needed.
Community Answer -
Kristi, We do carry Optimmune, a 0.2% cyclosporine eye ointment, but no generic product is available. There are alternative treatments available for keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS) but any decision to change treatment choice would have to be made by your veterinarian. Thank you, VetRxDirect
