Can I use visine on dogs for allergies??

Visine-A Eye Allergy Relief contains the same two active ingredients in the same concentrations as OptiVet AR: naphazoline 0.025% for redness relief and pheniramine maleate 0.3% for itch relief. However, Visine-A contains a preservative called benzalkonium chloride that can cause redness in the eyes of many breeds of dogs. The best option for your dog would be to remove the allergen from the area, if at all possible. Also, consulting your veterinarian regarding the use of OptiVet AR or other possible alternatives for your particular breed of dog.
