Needed exact dosage not found over the counter
Our dog needs to take omeprazole for long term stomach problems. Our vet told us to buy the OTC ones and cut them in half. Well they are time released and by cutting them in half causes them to lose their effectiveness and availability like it should. So searching around I found that you offer the capsules in the dosage we needed 10 mg. We purchased them and viola! they are perfect. No pill splitting and best of all, we noticed that the medication is working better to control his problem because it is working time released as it is supposed to. Very quick and efficient in setting up and account and getting an RX from our vet. It was here in no time!

My Scooter Jack struggles with tummy issues and this medication lessens his stomach/acid reflux issues. He takes this medication at dinner time and it lasts 24 hours. Although, he not been on this medication for a long time, it is evident that he is feeling better in such a short period of time. This medication has improved his health overall. I'm so grateful that he is on this medication!-

Buying OTC Omeprazole and splitting it did not cover him for a full day and to get the dosage and sustained release we needed we were getting it compounded which is very expensive. I have a 12 lb cat that has been prescribed 5mg of omeprazole in the am and 5mg in the pm. I have some 10mg capsules. I am opening the capsule and halving the number of beads and putting half on a little bit of food in the am and half on a little bit of food in the pm before I feed a full meal. Is that an ok way to use it for effectiveness? Does opening the capsule make it so that the medicine is no longer time-release? Originally, my vet was having me split the 20 mg. tablets into 4 pieces and giving a quarter tab in the am and a quarter tab in the pm. I think you said that the tabs aren't supposed to be cut? I, too, can't find 10 mg. OTC and don't wish to pay $$$ for human compounding and don't understand why online pharmacies require a prescription for a medication that otherwise doesn't require one (?), but my main question is usage. My cat doesn't swallow pills. One online pharmacy told me opening the capsule and sprinkling the contents on food would render it ineffective because it's time-released (that's assuming it doesn't taste bad and he even eats it). Another online pharmacy -- you, in the questions above -- disagree. Which??

Hello: my vet prescribed Omeprazole 10 mg, twice a day for my 14 lb dog to help control her SM symptoms. I see that you sell the Omeprazole 10 mg, but delayed release. Is it the same pill?
