Wonderful product!!
From Quakertown, PAComments about Nordic Naturals Pet Cod Liver OilI have been giving this product to my "old guy", a 12 yr. old rescue for about 2 mos. now, along with another product. After being examined by our Vet to determine why he was experiencing such pain in both front legs, they determined it was arthritis and of course recommended their very expensive products. Having had wonderful past experience with your company , I said I would investigate other products. These products are so much more reasonably priced, and are doing wonderful things for my boy! And he seems to like the flavor so it's simple to just put 1 tsp. over his food! He is back to playing with his ball, taking walks and just generally enjoying a pain-free life! I highly recommend these products and company. Fantastic customer service!!-

Does this have any iodine in it? My cat is on hyperthyroid medication.?

Iodine is present in the fish that the cod liver oil is made from. This product is purified to remove pollutants, and nearly all of the iodine is removed during this process. The Nordic Naturals Pet Cod Liver Oil does not test for iodine content in each bottle, however they have done spot-testing through the years. During these spot tests, it has been consistently found that one milliliter of the cod liver oil contains less than 0.5 micrograms of iodine. This should be a very safe and small amount of iodine for your cat to ingest, but we recommend that you discuss this iodine intake with your veterinarian prior to using this product. The temperature where I live is in the 100's. If this arrives very hot, ok to use it? I'm not sure, as it says to refrigerate after opening?

A company representative states the company has shipped to places like Arizona, Florida, and Louisiana for over 20 years and have had minimal amount of issues regarding high temperatures and shipping. If the product has a rotten smell to it the product may have been affected by the temperature.
