Nitrofurazone Ointment for Cats and Dogs

Nitrofurazone is a prescription antibiotic ointment that is applied topically to the skin. It works in the treatment and prevention of infections caused by bacteria when applied to wounds, burns, lacerations, cutaneous ulcers, and other skin conditions. If your pet has a skin wound or condition, your veterinarian may prescribe a topical ointment such as Nitrofurazone.
