Prescription meds ordered by vet
From Georgia, USAComments about Neo / Poly / Gram Eye DropsThe product seems to be working well on Pork Chop (my cat) who has had a problem with his eye since birth. Hopefully by the end of the treatment cycle the problem will have been resolved. The service from VetRxDirect has been super and I have found a new place to get not only to get prescription meds but other needed items as well. -

Works Perfectly!
From Canyon Lake, TX, USAComments about Neo / Poly / Gram Eye DropsI purchased "Neo Poly Gram Eye Drops" directly from our vet but they were too expensive, so I ordered the drops online from VetRxDirect.com and saved about 50%. Their delivery was fast and the service was great. My 12 year old Persian cat scratched her eye corneal and we took her to the vet. While it was healing she scratched it another two times with a cone on. All during this time the vet had to remove part of the corneal on three separate occasions because it was healing lumpy and wrong. I had to use "Neo Poly Gram Eye Drops" for 5 months, every two hours, day and night, so she wouldn't get an infection. Towards the last month I was able to use the drops every four hours. Thank God I work out of a home office or this would have been hard to do. It took a total of six months for her eye to heal. The corneal fully covered over her eye even though it's still a little lumpy. I think the healing of the corneal is the best we are going to get. Our cat seems to be back to normal. We were so afraid she was going to loose her eye. I constantly check her eyes for hair or lent that could cause her to scratch at it. If I find a hair, I squirt saline solution into the eye by creating a water bubble and use the tip edge of a paper towel to float it off; I never touch the eye directly only the water bubble. This process works perfectly and my cats sets there like she understands.

My vet prescribed this for my dog yesterday. It seems to really hurt her when I put the drops in her left eye, and her eye is very dilated. I have an appointment to bring her back in on Monday, but it's now Friday night and can't ask the vet questions. Does the medication cause her eye to dilate??
-
Eye dilation is not a common side effect of Neo/Poly/Gram Eye drops. Please contact your veterinarian immediately to discuss what you are observing while using this medication.

after opened can you use it later. my dogs eyes are looking bad again?
-
This product expires 28 day after the day it was opened. Within this time frame, you may use the drops again. It is possible that the bacteria causing the eye infection was not covered by these drops and you may need to refer to your vet for a prescription for a different antibiotic drop.

Are the drops supposed to be thick?

According to the manufacturer (Bausch and Lomb), Neo/Poly/Gram eye drops are a very thin solution.

Is it bad if you were to put two drops instead of one on an eye on accident??
-
Neo/Poly/Gram ophthalmic drops are eye drops that contain 3 different antibiotics that work against a broad spectrum of bacterial infections. Accidentally instilling 2 drops into an eye instead of 1 drop is not a cause for concern. More than likely the excess liquid would drip out of your pet's eye.

-
Neo/Poly/Gram Eye Drops should not harm your pet if accidentally dosed in the wrong eye. Common side effects are local irritation ,itching, redness, and swelling. Contact your veterinarian if infection worsens or does not improve in the eye that is being treated.

Several years ago a vet prescribed antibiotic eye drops for my pure bred Australian Shepard, saying that she has a hereditary eye condition and would need eye drops for life or she would go blind. She had red veins in her eyes at the time, a few years later they became cloudy after I had stopped the eye drops, I started again and they cleared up, I don't want to do the right thing to save her eyes. They are clear at this time with daily eye drops. ???????????? What do you think??
-
We recommend you discuss this with your veterinarian as they will know the specifics of your dog's condition and whether or not these eye drops will help. Follow the stated directions from your veterinarian for optimal results. Thank you, VetRxDirect
