Malmetazone Rx
Malmetazone for Dogs
Malmetazone is a prescription, topical ear medication for dogs. It contains gentamicin, a type of antibiotic, mometasone, a steroid, and clotrimazole, a broad spectrum antifungal. Malmetazone is used to treat and prevent ear infections (otitis externa) that are caused by different types of bacteria, yeast, and fungi. It also helps reduce symptoms of ear infections including itching, pain, and inflammation. If your dog has been diagnosed with an ear infection, your veterinarian may prescribe a medication like Malmetazone as treatment. Available in 7.5g, 15g, 30g bottles.
What you should know about Malmetazone:
- Read and follow the prescription label carefully for storage information, possible side effects, and drug interactions.
- Give the exact amount prescribed and only as often as directed.
- Do not skip doses or stop giving the medication without consulting your veterinarian.
Resistance is a major concern when giving antibiotics. Resistance occurs when bacteria survive and mutate and are then able to survive even after antibiotics are given. To help avoid any resistance, it is important to give antibiotics as they are prescribed for as long as they are prescribed even if your pet is looking and feeling better.

From UndisclosedComments about MalmetazoneExtremely happy with this purchase. It was a refill for a script that my vet charged a lot more for. VetRxDirect was quick, reasonable, and they have fabulous customer service. I highly recommend!
