Tried Others-No Go
From Water Valley, MSComments about Malaseb Shampoo (discontinued)This product was recommended by a skin specialist vet for our itchy skinned Cairn Terrier rescue. She takes several antihistamine, but as soon as she gets smelly and itchy(about once a week) a good shampoo with Malaseb straightens her right up. A little medicinal smelling, but well worth it for results. Her coat looks great. -

awesome product for stinky, crusty Westies!!
From Denham Springs, LouisianaComments about Malaseb Shampoo (discontinued)Westies are known for skin dermatitis and allergies. Our 13 year old Westie was starting to drive herself miserable with all the back scratching and chewing of her back. She smelled so bad. I started confiding into other Westie forums and everyone swore by this product. It was a little pricey, so I kept putting it off. After seeing that she couldn't take it anymore (or us), we finally bought it and it is the best thing we have ever done for her! After one use, she felt better and i saw a huge difference. We bathed her twice a week for a month at first, then went to once a week. If we forget, and find a little crusty patch occur, we will bathe her and it wipes it out completely. The change is remarkable! She is so soft and all her scaly skin is gone. It doesn't have the best smell while bathing her, but it doesn't leave a bad smell on her once she is dry. It doesn't really lather much, which i don't think it is supposed to. The hardest part is leaving the lather on and making her stay content for 10 minutes. Which is important to let it sit on her skin! We bathe her in the shower, and close the glass door to contain her and that seems to work. We make sure that we never run out of this shampoo!-
Our sweet girl, Bijoux
