Protection for my cat's heart..
From UndisclosedComments about LiquiCarn 4oz (120mL)Our vet recommended the LiquiCarn for our cat. So far, it seems to be a good choice! -
Old cat got new energy
From UndisclosedComments about LiquiCarnCat, our older black cat got more energetic and athletic since taking the cat carnitine. Have not lost much weight but his day to day changed by more voluntary playing, activities and vocal chattery. -
Dropper not helpful
From MOComments about LiquiCarnI have tried the product yet on my pets, so I will add another review later. The instructions say 50-100 mg per kg, but the dropper measures ml. I know you divide by 10, but have a cat and a dog who will each be given a different dosage, so each time I have to think about it. Why not just design a mg dropper if that's the dose this product is administered at. -
Helpful supplement for feline hyperthyroidism
From East Coast, USAComments about LiquiCarnI put 20 drops into wet cat food throughout the day to help keep my cat's hyperthyroidism under control. L-Carnitine binds to the excess T4 and it is removed from the body. This is not a cure, but my cat is allergic to methimazole, and other treatments are not options. His symptoms have greatly improved after nearly two weeks taking this supplement. I hope this product is never discontinued!

Will this help my cat lose weight??
-
LiquiCarn contains L-carnitine, which is an amino acid supplement that helps support carnitine deficiency as well as cardiovascular, liver, and cognitive health function in dogs and cats. Currently, there is no label or sufficient data for weight loss use in cats or dogs. It is recommended that you speak to your veterinarian before administering any new supplement or product, especially if your cat has been treated or diagnosed with a medical condition.

I have a 100 lb Great Pyrenees. Cardiologist suggested 2,000'mg of L-Carnitine twice a day. What would her dosage be using this? Is a dropper full equivalent to 250 mg? So, she'd need 8 droppers, twice a day? How many dosages are in a bottle??
-
According to the manufacturer's product label, 1 ml of LiquiCarn contains 250mg of L-Carnitine. If the prescribed dosage for your dog is 2,000mg twice daily, then you would need to administer 8ml twice daily. One bottle of LiquiCarn contains 120ml of liquid, or 15 doses of 8ml. It is recommended that you consult with your veterinarian to make sure this product best suits your dog’s needs.

Is Liquicarn vegan? What are the natural ingredients? Where can I see the nutrition information??
-
According to the manufacturer, the active ingredient in this product is L-Carnitine (1-tartrate/CarniPure™). Inactive ingredients in this product are: Vegetable glycerin, water, natural flavorings, fructose and potassium sorbate. The natural flavoring is derived from beef liver, so unfortunately LiquiCarn is not a vegan product. For further product information, please call Rx Vitamins, Inc. at (800) 792-2222.
