Was wondering how to dispose of it safely ??
-
According to the manufacturer and MSDS (material safety data sheet) for limeplus, disposal procedures should be in accordance with Federal, State, and local refuse regulations. Also, the MSDS sheet mentioned to not dispose of it down the drain. For this information we would recommend for you contact your local landfill or recycling center for proper disposal instructions.

can this product been brought from a feed or pet store.?

You would need to contact the manufacturer to find out what their local distribution is, we do not, unfortunately, have that information. It is a prescription medication, so you may want to check local pharmacies to see what the availability might be. Thank you, VetRxDirect

My vet couldn't answer this - How does LimePlus Dip affect Advantix spot-on flea control? I know regular bathing doesn't affect it but I am concerned about the dip.?
-
Amelia, The manufacturer states that Advantix may be given with other medications and to monitor for any adverse effects. There is no specific data regarding drug-to-drug interactions for the use of LimePlus Dip and Advantix when used together. It’s recommended that bathing or shampooing be done before Advantix is applied and that Advantix may be applied once the coat is dry. Advantix will remain effective if the animal becomes wet but frequent water exposure may reduce the efficacy of the medication. Thank you, VetRxDirect

The instructions say to wash animal then apply and allow to dry. Do we dry our cat post bath or keep her wet, then apply Limeplus. It seems like she might freeze while waiting for all of her hair to dry.?.?

Marykay - I worked as a vet tech a few decades (!) back. After we bathed and dipped cats, we put them in their enclosure, then attached a regular blow dryer with diffuser attached to the door of the cage/crate, put it on low and let it run until the cat was reasonably dry. Occasionally one would not like the noise or sound, but most of them seemed to tolerate it pretty well. If there's a way for the cat to be held in place while the diffuser was actively worked by you, the process would take much less time and probably be less traumatic for the cat. Please note that I am not a vet or a groomer, nor am I a licensed tech. I'm just a person who's had a million animals all her life and who works with rescues from time to time.

Marykay, The manufacturer recommends that the Limeplus Dip be applied after bathing and rinsing the cat. The Limeplus Dip can be applied immediately after rinsing, allowing less time for your cat to get cold. It is important to not rinse off the Limeplus Dip, but to allow it to dry so that it is fully effective. Please contact your veterinarian to see if alternative directions are available. I just bred my French Bull and noticed she has mites. Can I use Lime Plus Dip on her now??
-
Janet, Lime Plus Dip is safe to use in this situation as long as it is diluted according to the manufacturer’s directions. However, you should check with your veterinarian to see if there is a preferred treatment for mites in a dog who has just been bred. Thank you, VetRxDirect

We have been prescribed this for our cats. I was told to put it on and let it dry on the cat. Will licking the fur be harmful while the product dries??
-
Dee, LimePlus Dip needs to be diluted prior to application. The entire 4oz bottle needs to be added to 1 gallon of water and mixed well. It is recommended to wear rubber gloves when mixing and applying to avoid contact with the mediation. The product has a taste that most animals will not find palatable. Excessive intake of LimePlus Dip is not recommended and may cause gastrointestinal upset and vomiting. If your notice you cat grooming shortly after the medication is applied contact your veterinarian to discuss recommendations for minimizing ingestion or possible alternatives to treatment.
