VERY Diluted
I buy this from my vet directly usually. Didnt have time to make it over so figured this is the same thing. Same bottle, same size, same label, different ingredients!! For one, the real version has no smell. Although this version does have a pleasant smell, i have to avoid scents. Second and most importantly, the real version is a bright red, it will stain my dogs white coat pink if I dont get it all off. This version is a pale pink, almost clear. Which tells me it is extremely diluted. It may still work, idk, because I've only used it once, however, it's not the full strength one you order from the vet. Very disappointing.

This shampoo is amazing
From UndisclosedComments about KetoHex Shampoo, 16oz BottleNo other shampoo has been able to help her with her fur, her skin, and the strong odor she sometimes has. This shampoo helps with all of it, her skin is not itchy anymore and the redness on her skin is gone. Her fur looks shiny and very healthy. I will never go back to bathing her with any other type of shampoo again. I 100% recommend this product to anyone who has a dog that has similar problems to my dog, it's a life changer.-

Great product
From UndisclosedComments about KetoHex Shampoo, 16oz BottleI first used this on my older shih tzu due to skin allergies. I now have a shih tzu Lhasa mixed with mild skin allergies. This works wonders. -
Fast shipping, not sure about product
From UndisclosedComments about KetoHex Wipes, 50ct TubBought this because it was prescribed by my vet? But they were selling it for 3x the price. Vetrx has great prices and fast shipping. The rating is because I'm not sure these wipes did anything for my dog's yeasty paws. I think they may have dried them out a bit too much. Either way, I'll use vetrx again for their prices and shipping -

I like the results of using KetoHex shampoo on my dog.
From UndisclosedComments about KetoHex Shampoo, 16oz BottleMy dog has very dry skin and had a bad case of dandruff. Bathing him once with your medicated shampoo cut the dandruff way down. It has nearly disappeared after the second bath, and I believe it will be gone after the 3rd. My intention is to then use it on a 3 to 4 week schedule. -
Helps my dogs skin.

will ketohex work the same as ketochlor?
-
Both shampoos contain the same active ingredients. KetoChlor shampoo contains 2.3% chlorhexidine and 1% ketoconazole and KetoHex contains 2% chlorhexidine and 1% ketoconazole. Both are labeled as an antiseptic and antifungal cleansing shampoo for dogs, cats, and horses to help treat certain skin conditions. KetoChlor is manufactured by Virbac and requires a prescription. KetoHex is manufactured by VetOne and does not require a prescription. These products may work similar, but we recommend asking your veterinarian before switching or using a new shampoo on your pet.

Hello! My question is regarding scooting in a female fixed dog. I have a Pomeranian/Skipperkhe mix, and she has been scooting on her bottom for about a month now, although yesterday and today seems ALOT better. She only scooted once all day today! Anyway, her vaginal area was looking swollen and very red to me in previous weeks but is now looking more "normal". I read a lot about anti-fungal products helping with a fungal type infection or yeast infection that she may have that caused this entire event to occur. I really would like to try and help her on my own, because the last several times she has gone to the vet she had to stay for a few overnights and she is VERY traumatized. She loses pounds of hair just waiting in the waiting room and struggles for nights on end to sleep once we get home. So, I was going to try this. Is it safe for this area of my dog? Which product would I use, the Flush? All of them? I don't want to burn her. Thank you so much for your help! Sincerely, Linda?

Ketohex is a topical antiseptic solution for dogs, cats, and horses. It contains chlorhexidine (antibacterial) and ketoconazole (antifungal) to help cleanse wounds, abrasions and lacerations, skin infections, or other skin disorders. We do recommend that your veterinarian perform an examination to make sure it Ketohex would be an appropriate treatment. Inappropriate treatment or delaying in seeking medical care may cause the worsening of your dog's conditions and suboptimal treatment outcomes. Please contact your veterinarian to choose the best treatment option and also let your veterinarian know your concerns about the negative experiences from previous vet visits. Thank you, VetRxDirect

To Linda, I am so sorry for you and your poor pup! Before I did anything with medication, I would definitely find a NEW VET. When you make your first appointment, tell them what a bad experience your dog had before. Make sure they understand that she is especially anxious from the previous treatment. At the appointment, tell them about the scooting and ask about treatment for her anal glands. My two mini-dachshunds have to go in once a month to get their anal glands expressed (drained). It does not hurt them, even though they don't like it (LOL!). This MAY (will probably) relieve the scooting. Girl, if your dog was that traumatized from going there, they are doing something WRONG. No dog likes to go to the vet, but they should still be able to sleep at night. Do not stay there if you feel that bad! Go from vet to vet until you find one you feel you can trust. You DO NOT have to accept any treatment for your dog if you don't like the sound of it or if your dog reacts so horribly. Do not let them push you around! I hope you and your furbaby are both better now. Good luck!
