To use the iPet Pro Monitor, first insert the test strip into the meter in the direction of the arrow until the meter beeps. The screen will display a code number followed by a flashing icon. At this point, press the up/down arrows to select the meal indicator. If no selection is made, the default is no meal indicator. After touching the strip to the blood drop, the meter will beep and count down as soon as there is enough blood in the test strip. Then, the test result will appear on the display.

We have alphatrak 2 but we are wondering if we can use other test strips other than the alphatrak test strips?

The manufacturer does not recommend using other strips in the meter as the AlphaTRACK II strips are coded specifically for dogs and cats.
