which is the right dosage of gentamicin for a 5 pounds poppy??

The manufacturer recommends topically applying a ½ inch strip of ointment to the affected eye(s) 2 to 3 times daily regardless of weight or as directed by your veterinarian. Because it is a prescription medication, your puppy's veterinarian will determine the appropriate dosing. To apply the medication you may hold the container above the eye and gently squeeze ½ inch line of ointment along the inside of the lower eyelids. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the container to the eye or eyelid. Thank you, VetRxDirect
