A must for itchy dogs!
From Salt Lake City, UTComments about Genesis (triamcinolone acetonide) Topical SprayI have an English Bulldog. If you know the breed, you know the constant struggles with itchy skin, allergies, and anything in between. My dog's face wrinkles had been swelling due to allergies causing a great place for over-production of yeast, redness, and tireless itching! His dermatologist vet recommended this product and wrote the prescription for us to get it. Order came super quick and we saw so much relief after just one use! I do use this daily during allergy season but could be used every other day for less intense cases. 10/10 recommend to anyone wanting to spend the time with topical treatments rather than administering medications. -
A Must Have Product For Allergy Treatment
From Gibsonia, PA, USAComments about Genesis (triamcinolone acetonide) Topical SprayI have been using Genesis Topical Spray as additional treatment ( besides oral prednisone) for our Bullmastiff Gracie who has moderate to severe seasonal allergies. Used as directed this has helped to significantly reduce secondary skin infections and has enabled us to reduce the daily dose of oral prednisone from about 20 mgs to between 10 - 15 mgs. It is an excellent product. -
Best Hotspot treatment I've ever seen!
From Kitty Hawk, NC, USAComments about Genesis (triamcinolone acetonide) Topical SprayWe have used this for several years and are so glad VetRxDirect keeps it in stock. We have 5 golden retrievers and 1 Newfoundland. They tend to get hot spots in the spring and summer. This stuff clears up the issue and drys the spot out in just a few days. Really amazing! -

Excellent fast service.
From Lancaster, Pa.Comments about Genesis (triamcinolone acetonide) Topical SprayI was a little hesitant to place my first order, because I needed a prescription from my veterinarian. I did not need to worry, because it all went very smoothly. I received my first order and have placed and received my second. Both times, the items were well packed, and the bottles were doubly secured with tape. I even received a card thanking me for my order and a packaged treat for my dog .... which he loved!

My 18 lb Boston Terrier has seasonal skin allergies and sometimes is just frantic licking and scratching. I've used this on her a few times but she just goes nuts when I do. She's 12 yrs old so she's not a puppy. Does this spray have possible side effects? She is also on Apoquel to help control the itching.?

If the spray causes irritation, it is recommended to discontinue use and contact your veterinarian. Your veterinarian may recommend a more appropriate treatment for your dog

Why is this a prescription drug? I read that it is approved as an over the counter drug now, as it's basically a poison ivy treatment, when hydracortisone fails. That's how I ended up with a tube of it. No one is ingesting this stuff to get high on it.?
-
Kamm, Triamcinolone is a corticosteroid with multiple indications of use. Triamcinolone is similar to hydrocortisone but is stronger. For this reason the FDA has advised that this product should only be available by prescription so veterinarians or other health care providers can monitor care. The only available over-the-counter topical corticosteroid is hydrocortisone 0.5% and 1% cream. Thank you, VetRxDirect
